  1. yeh so I just combined both of them since both can have the same issues and both can have their stuff forgotten by distancing with time and social circles. Even divorce can be hidden by moving to another country. Yes exactly. I think so many females are using make up now we can't see their natural skin glow anymore.
  2. I wonder if chand-tora is recognised by modern hindus, especially connecting to Shiv/Shiva?
  3. she just has to adjust her make up for age I think it someone has a bad rep or some other excess baggage such as ex partners, then if they put a few years distance between those events and getting married, then a lot of the bad rep stuff becomes a distant memory. Also during that time changing social circles, such as if the stuff was done at school then going to university (maybe far away) and losing contact with school friends, or if the stuff was at university then graduating and then ditching that social group (works even better for those who went university far away). And if they were doing stuff at work, then there's probably no choice but to switch jobs, although in a big company switching departments may work? Even after all that, exes can still pop-up out of nowhere and ruin a marriage (yaari is hard to hide), even for those pretty hoes, although there's a good chance people with reps will ruin the marriage themselves anyway! I know some women have difficulty conceiving in their 30s, must be difficult to have children in 40s!
  4. So I saw naamdharis pop-up on my youtube on my TV, it was some programme in Canada with their current Guru and even their really famous top Raag Keertani was doing a speech. So I was just fast-backwarding through the video (I think because it was live on youtube you reverse instead of forward), and I saw them doing the ardaas. I was curious to listen to how they do the ardaas. Then I head the notorious patshahi 12 barvi mentioned at the start of the ardaas. Since the 1st pauri of Chandi Di Vaar is universal in sikh ardaas, then how can naamdharis change patshahi 10 dasvi to patshahi 12 barvi if it's technically changing 1st pauri of chandi di vaar? Also why only 12 if they have had more Gurus now who they do name in the ardaas?
  5. still wears a pagh (and that hindi movie even put an aad chand on his turban for some reason)
  6. it's only when modern Sikhs let go of their jatha egoes and start understanding the rehitnamas and itihasic granths, then they will understand the value of da khalsa and what dal khalsa achieved!
  7. punjabis would have had dharmik values, or otherwise islamic values since many were muslims as well
  8. Tell me more about the Singh who plays tabla in a different way. I feel like he would have enjoyed playing a different drum instrument but was limited to the thinking of those times. Also the front of harmoniums look different these days, anybody know why they changed in modern times? I also see that Bhai Randhir Singh holds harmonium in a different way, diagonally. I just feel he would have enjoyed Tanti Saaj instruments especially due to the way he holds the harmonium, but again was limited due to the sangat and music teachers available due to the colonial times! Oh how things would have been different and we would have so many raag keertan rehnsbai! I also like the aad chand he wears in some photos, I am unsure if this picture is trying to show the aad chand. Dhan Guru Arjan Dev ji, we will follow your hukam and bring tanti saaj back to the panth!
  9. one of the clearest anti Dasam Granth corruptions is the way Kabyo Baach Benti Chaupai is cut and read by jathas and SGPC, and the gurdwaras they occupy such as Harimandir Sahib. It's a case of hiding anti dasam actions in clear sight where panth will not notice. At least sampradaiye don't buy into this, but this regular anti-dasam corruption affects a huge proportion of mainstream sikhs especially their nitnem and even amrit sanchar ceremonies! As for sects, there were always non-khalsa sects in sikh panth, and they can make any kind of sect or dera maryada they want. The problem is when sects started getting created and made their own amrit dharis and khalsa maryadas. Also Nirmala sects are allowed their own dera maryadas because their function is education and gyaan as opposed to fighting battles. But this goes too far when SGPC and jathas start making their own maryadas... Actually, even Naamdharis are a sect which splits the Khalsa and needs to somehow be reintegrated back into khalsa panth.
  10. omgosh what the heck is this? and who is Queen Bee? That video doesn't look like anybody that has converted to islam. In fact us sikhs should be complaining about these videos, does she have a tiktok to leave comments?
  11. you broke amrit? Is it an object you can break? 17 isn't really young for Pahul I don't think!
  12. I have always been poor at amrit vela, and my nitnem got disrupted when I started working and doing Masters. Few years ago, I was driving to work and listening to bhangra while doing a tiring commute. I thought to myself, bhangra music is just tiring me, why don't I listen to nitnem because I don't get time to do it anymore because of work!? So that is when I started listening to nitnem on commutes for different jobs like driving or travelling on train or bus, and usually reading paat on weekends. So nowadays I often listen to nitnem on playlist saved on my phone, how much nitnem I listen to depends on when I woke up and how busy my workshift is. I have been working remote since lockdown so this is much easier for me. If I can, I sometimes read japji Sahib and maybe Jaap Sahib, or maybe more, depends on the day or how tired I am. Occasionally listen to Asa Di Vaar. But without fail listen to at least some of my nitnem playlist. Usually evenings I listen to Sodar Rehras and Aarti and keertan from Hajoor Sahib from Youtube, although I have playlists setup if I don't have much time. One day I hope to be able to wake up and go listen to amrit vela nitnem in gurdwara sahib, although in the pend have been able to listen to this on village speaker. Stay in Chardi kala, nitnem is regularly possible with techonology, and if you miss amrit vela make sure to still do your nitnem later. And still, if you wake up late, you must still do Japji Sahib and Jaap Sahib. If you aren't going to read paat then use technology to listen without fail. Chardi Kala!!
  13. I thin keshdhari families need to have loads of children. Due to events like 1947, 1984 and continuing killings of Singhs, we cannot have small numbers. Look at the dharmi fauji families, or families where sons were killed during encounters and 1984. Many of these families just have the old men alive without any further generations. This is what small numbers do. Look at Bhai Mani Singh ji, he had Uncles who were martyred for Guru Hargobind ji wars, and Bhai Mani Singh had 2 wives and many children. We know how he was sacrificed and some of his sons have given shaheedi as well. Instead of wasting timing dating and making girlfriends, keshdharis, and especially proper kshatriya rehitee Singhs like Nihang Singhs, should have multiple wives and many children. This will ensure survival as well as cancelling out a lot of the many mona punjabi families who are just behaving disgracefully these days and bringing everyone down. Allow these dating Singhs that say "I am just getting to know her", lol they aren't bringing bhujangis into the panth. We need a kshatriya mentality where we have numbers to protect our community. Singh families with numbers will also influence mona families. Small keshdhari families are also at risk of negative influence if they have many mona relatives, unless of course they have access to good sangat!
  14. I really don't think those families are interested in continuing sikhi and sometimes marrying our of culture can be a good thing for them instead of corrupting sikh families. Some of these girls will mess up sikh families, there are exceptions, some girls will follow sikhi better if she marries into a good family. It's a gamble though with these girls from these families, especially if they are drinking or hookah/sheesha smoking girls, maybe dressing nangi on instagram, or demanding clean shaven or haircut; then it's probably best to stay away from these families instead of marrying!
  15. things have been bad since covid lockdowns. I have been observing university sikh societies which used to bring this information such as grooming to young sikhs. Some of the West London sikh societies have either closed down or are inactive, or barely active. Even the Oxford university sikh society seems to have closed down or become inactive. Universities had good reach for people who don't bother attending gurdwara. Places like Southall have many gurdwaras and I know the migrants usually attend the gurdwaras, especially on Sundays. So it's important the gurdwaras do these talks regularly! I feel many of these migrants with the hedgehog haircuts, or the Pakistani look, aren't going to be good with protecting their daughters, especially the ones who have the wives who are too busy doing fashion and makeup and adopting questionable clothes when they come uk, sometimes so much that they don't have time to tie their sons' jooras so just end up giving them haircuts!
  16. yes, the divisions are definitely created by our dushman. Once we lost our raaj, the divisions were created in the form of jathas and committees. and came out to play and confuse the panth!
  17. I really feel most of the "gur"sikhs in this pic come from a certain jatha, although there are a few other Singhs such as mahapurakh like baba Jarnail Singh Bhindrawale, I don't really see much panthic unity from this pic. That is just my viewpoint unfortunately... I supposed the right hand side represents shaheed Singhs from the last century, and I am unsure about the Singhs near Guru Granth Sahib maharaj. And I am very excited to see Tanti Saaj as a regular representation in Harimandir Sahib as was the case in puraatan times and pictures, as opposed to the archaic Harmonium.
  18. Does this family like Nihang Singhs, looks like they were excluded from this Harimandir Sahib pic for more favoured personailities! Hopefully harmonium in harimandir Sahib pictures will be rare, it's good to see that pictures were created centuries back to represent proper sikh instruments and well done to Akal Takht jathedaar to start the process for kicking harmonium out from Harimandir Sahib. Good riddance to the colonial era of harmonium at Harimandir Sahib, a very bad representation the panth has made compared to how Guru Arjan Dev ji and sangat greatly promoted Tanti Saaj keertan in Harimandir Sahib.
  19. You mean like they used to do many years ago.... ? IF you go back some years you will see people blocked and threads closed quickly, just because there was something discussed that didn't agree with certain sikh groups. Some of the rules on this forum are an extension of the paranoia of beliefs from the wider sikh sangat.
  20. interesting, do tell more. There are probably sources such as suraj prakash and others to look at right? This really irks me. I used to be in London uni sikh societies in the 2000s and that's when they started corrupting Mai Bhago's name. And then in the last decade sikh groups started doing the same to Mata Gujari Ji. And it's always the groups dealing with youth and young children who push these. And I feel it's coming from certain jathas which don't follow itihasic granths!
  21. hi everyone. so I found out what Nupur Sharma actually said. Nupur said that Mohammed married a 6 year old girl. The muslims say this is true. the reason they are upset is because a non-muslim is saying this, and they say a non-muslim cannot say this because it is criticising the prophet!
  22. will try to watch it later. But it's crazy to see people won' cut it for muslims but will vut their hair for whiteman gora recognition. We shouldn't be wanting anyone's recognition beside Guru. As soon as persons put someone else between Guru and themselves, then they fall down!
