wow so they do not revolve around sri guru granth sahib and they seem to be reciting salok m 9 instead of laavan de paath also I love the gora commentator who finds brides getting wed in a marraige costing less than 13 ruppees appalling if he were alive today, he'd be appalled by the exact opposite of how lavish "sikh weddings" are

I mean you can in ADDITION to nitnem I remember once a taksali kathavachik at our gurdwara in Manteca proclaimed to sangat bout how sant bhindranwale did panj banis in evening AGAIN When asked why, he explained that he was making up for amritvelas he missed as an infant and child and is paying interest for rest of his life Not sure if it's true just putting it out there Panj granthi contains these banis I think and im pretty sure one can do those anytime

Waheguru ji malwa in general does with Satluj being polluted with nuclear waste from Badal constituencies of Bhatinda where the thermal plant doesnt handle its nuclear waste well and let's uranium mix into waters

have you been to Ludhiana I believe that might be most polluted city in all of Punjab its the san francisco of Punjab

I still use it from time to time, but not in excess so I lose my tolerance to it so it works better if I need it, so I try my best to do parhej from allopathic medicine which reduces my tolerance even further so when I need it, it actually works one of my teachers had a rare condition where drugs just didnt work on him during surgery, except for fetanyl which was later on prohibited by the doctors when he reached a age so the guy had to endure his surgeries

elder naamdharis werent like that they've been hijacked in the late 1800s as was the rest of the panth by arya samajis yet udasis, nirmalas, naamdharis haven't recovered from the destructive period of time where sikhi was at brink of extinction

all this talk on rivers reminds me of this documentary I saw a year or two back I meant to post it onto sikhsangat but was held back by the regulations for months water is the most vital resource that belongs to Punjab and we must protect our assets and riparian rights at all costs the documentary showcases and gives a background to the bigger autonomous struggle of Punjab within India as encoded in Anandpur da matta, I will post it as soon as I find it it made matured me on just how deep the siyasat was to weaken Punjab with the Indira Gandhi canal taking water all the way to Jaisalmer (practically on border with Gujarat) and the canals transferring water from satluj to haryana being thicker and bigger in volume than the river itself when before 1947 only one canal transported our water out of Punjab and that was to I think Bikaner which paid us tax in return it is an riverlet in Punjab now and all this has an big economic impact on punjab that branches out into tons of other problems

waheguru ji completely agree doesn't seem like I have found any virodhis of sanpat paath, as I dont see any vice in it either it is I assume highly recommended that one does paath themselves rather make this into kirt for paathis? would you agree?

the latter waheguru ji I used to think three were for all sikhs and the five for amritdhari sikhs but I may be mistaken as I havent read that rehit maryada in years now

agreed I can sort of understand if they don't include arril and chaupaee, but cutting off kabiyo baach shabad itself is pretty manmat the prior jatheedar of akaal thakt-vedanti-said its not neccesary and not part of a ardaas theme that the benti chapai is but in the guru sahib states "dukh na tisai biaapat koee", making the dava that one the blessings attained by the bani will not let suffering touch the sikh I think it was teja bhausaria who got the last two lines cut due to being offended by "kirpaa karee ham par JAGMAATAA"

WHICH BANIS DID THE TENTH GURU RECITE AT THE TIME OF ADMINISTERING AMRIT? (sikhmarg.com) found the interesting reference couple years ago, recently rediscovered it so I am trying to find these two swaiyes best bet for me is to look from sri akaal ustat where the sravag, dinan ki prital swaiyes are (as is pranvo aad ekankaara) this article has been copies and pasted in a dozen sites to create shanka on panj bania but that is besides the point

but its not really interruption as long as you dont start doing japji sahib in middle of a shabad if you complete the shabad/or salok THEN read a sanpat shabad, I wouldn't really see it as an interruption interruption is something like stopping at "dusht dokh te lehu bachaae" and not completing the full kabiyo baach benti chaupaee do you think people are more offended by people doing specific sanpat shabad for specific wishes or desires (for maya, family peace, business, child, etc.) as a kind of brahmanical ritual? but that applies to akhand paath as well?

have you been to kiratpur sahib and seen the satluj daria my mom was distraught after seeing the river (looks small) last time she went there was about 18-19 years ago before I was born when her grandmother passed away and she went to do the rusom looks really poluted

An Invitation… | Namdhari Truth most of my life as a kid I though naamdharis are just a sect of weirdos but over time I've realized they are contributed to panth a lot in preserving dastar, gurmat sangeet, etc. they just became victim of the mass scale hinduization of sikhs in late 1800s by arya smajis (given khuli chhutti to do so by british) that compelled the singh sabha movement to take root Baba Raam SIngh and early naamdharis seem to be believers of sri guru granth sahib as shown by their jail chittian and the writings of other contemporary naamdhari scholars like Baba Dhian Singh, Baba Kala Singh naamdhari as given by the website above

Why are so many people against it nowadays? I dont see much controversial about this, other than if some people claim that this is the only way to recite complete swaroop Guru Sahib, or those who say it "enhances" the effect of shabad which would imply that akhand paath is inferior. Unless someone is paying a paathi to do one for something in particular (same thing happens with akhand paaths) and they dont even listen to it and thus treat sri guru granth sahib as a wish genie of mantras; otherwise I dont anything offensive if a person does it themselves or at least with shardaa. Why do some people regard this method of gurbani recitation as beadbi? WaHeguru jio.

Can someone help me find out where these swaiye are in sri dasam granth, found a interesting article quoting and claiming bhai daya singh ji pyares rehitnama to refer to these along with sravag shabad, dinan ki pritpal, etc. Most of these commonly recited swaiye are present in sri akaal ustat so if anyone can find these two before, please provide feedback on this forum waheguru jio.
