  1. The Christians and Muslims seem more successful at it though? A lot of wrong Prachar within our panth.
  2. @Premi5why do you always bring articles?
  3. I don’t want to sound sexist, but I don’t think it’s the same when a Singh marries an outsider compared to a Kaur. ?
  4. I hear people make these statements against Sikhs, but why don't they do this logic with Christians and Muslims, they have more than us, we barely have our own Gurdwaras.
  5. I think it’s similar to how some Sikhs don’t eat when they are away from their Kirpan despite that not actually being in the Maryada.
  6. He should’ve divorced his wife when he found out he was gay.
  7. You talking about kinkyness or gays marrying straights?
  8. I'm sure some Desi men would be more kinky if it wasn't so negative to talk about I'm sorry if this is the wrong time to bring this up, but gay men shouldn't marry women and lesbian women shouldn't marry men.
  9. We have no friends in international politics, the only way we are getting a free Khalistan is by fighting for our independence.
  10. That only happens in India though, people in the west certainly shouldn’t use that an excuse for their casteism.
  11. I’m not OP but in general, what would you consider a good age to start looking for rishta?
  12. If he’s hostile to even hearing about Sikhi, that’s not a good match. Keep those people as friends, but no more.
  13. When Bhai Jetha was about to go take Guru Tegh Bahadur’s head, he had to cut his own fathers head to place it where Guru Sahib’s head was so he could run without the Mughals following him. Because of that incident, Guru Gobind Singh called him “Rangreta Guru Ka Beta”, and when he created the Khalsa he gave Bhai Jetta’s people, (Dalits), the title of “Mazhabi” Today people sadly use it as a casteist statement. So context is important.
  14. You think in the next 500 years or so that Sikhs will be more devout or even more lax than the current living generations? From what I see with Christian and Muslim society these days is they seem extremely less religious when compared to the olden days of their religion. I also think the fact that we don’t have an independent sooch these days, that our people are either getting absorbed into mainstream Indian or western society and that our people don’t have anything to build upon.
  15. @GurjantGnosticAre you married btw?
  16. Our religion teaches “Jagat Meh Jhooti Dekhhi Preet”, Not “love conquers all”. Religion is not a “big aspect of life”, but a core tenant to someone’s identity.
  17. I still believe that even with preferences, people will make exceptions for someone they find “good enough”. But not always the best in my opinion. If someone has different morals regardless of religion, it will inevitably lead to conflicts.
