  1. WJKK WJKF Satnam, I see Singhs all the time in the UK working with their dastars. Have any of you seen the new branch building off Soho Road Gurdwara- made by just by Singhs with their dastars. @ Bhul Chuk Maaf WJKK WJKF
  2. WJKK WJKF (I picked this up from a Gurdwara. ) "Men laugh and make fun Of other's shortcomings, But never look at their own, Which are countless, not few." - Bhagat Kabir Ji See what slandering does. It begins with evil thought, and that in itself is a crime. For in everyone and in everything there is good; in everyone and in everything there is evil. Either of these we can strengthen by thinking of it, and in this way we can help or hinder evolution. If you think of the evil in another person, you are doing at the same time three wicked things: 1. You are filling your neighbourhood with evil thought, instead of with good thought, and so you are adding to the sorrow of the world. 2.If there is in that man the evil which you think, you are strengthening it and feeding it; and so you are making him worse instead of better. But generally the evil is not there, and you have only fancied it; and then your wicked thought tempts that person to do wrong, for if he is not yet perfect you make him that which you have thought him. 3. You fill your own mind with evil thoughts instead of good; and so you hinder your own growth, and make yourself, for those who can see, an ugly and painful object instead of a beautiful and lovable one. Not content with having done all this harm to himself/herself and to his/her victim, the slanderer tries with all his might to make other men partners in his crime. Eagerly he tells his wicked tale to them; hoping that they would believe it; and then they join with him in pouring evil thought upon the poor sufferer. "The slanderous tongue kills three: the slanderes, the slanderer, and him who listen to the slander." And this goes on day after day, and is done not by one man but by thousands. Do you begin to see how base, how terrible a sin this is? You must avoid it altogether. Never speak ill of anyone; refuse to listen when anyone else speaks ill of another but gently say "Perhaps this is not true, and even if it is, it is kinder not to speak of it" "Look not at the faults of others, Pick out only their merits Like the bee that hungers only for honey, See the Lord in the flower of every heart." - Bhagat Kabir Ji

  8. I think everyone should be able to relate that.
  9. I think we should get rid of the names of the Gurdwaras because some specify what caste should only attend there (and we shouldn't have the whole caste thing going on anyways) e.g. ramgharia Guru Nanak Gurdwara(ugh!) (how can it be sikh and ramgharia). Also some Gurdwaras ive been to such as Guru Tegh Bahadar Gurdwara have refered to that Guru in the Ardas first (whih is obviously wrong!) The Gurdwaras shouldn't be named after a partiular Guru (and why aren't any named after Than Than Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji?)

  13. WJKK WJKF Back when New Orleans was under water so was a Gurudwara... The Singhs and Singhnees had left, before retreating to a safe place to stay. After returning they feared of the damages caused by the water to Guruji and decided to fly onto the Gurdwara by helicopter. They were sure that Guruji had been damaged as the water was very high but still went to rescue him. As they reached the darbar the throne was floating on the water and not a drop had touched Guruji! Than Than Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji! WJKK WJKF

  20. WAHEGURU JI KA KHALSA, WAHEGURU JI KI FATEH It must be said that the problems that our society face will never end... ...these problems have been there since the beginning of Sikhi. But this is the reason that we are not going to back down, we will do whatever it takes to protect our faith! Its not an accident that Sri Guru Gobind said that it is rightous to draw the sword when protecting faith! WAHEGURU JI KA KHALSA, WAHEGURU JI KI FATEH
