  7. Has anyone got any pictures of the scence where Guru Gobind Singh Ji passes the Gurgaddi to Guru Granth Sahib ji? I need this quite urgently and in the largest file size poissible as this is going to be blown up onto a massive poster................ Plz could someone help......?
  8. Admins i think this thread needs to be closed now..........for one there are young children reading this and the way some youth are "gloating" and "cheering" over this death does not give a postive reflection of this forum.......... Everyone has had their say........the gal needs to end here...... bhul chuck maafi
  9. waheguru i cannot believe some of the responses i am reading here..................... Whatever he is...................That between Him and Waheguru cos only Waheguru has the power to condemn or judge..............in no way am i supporting such a character but at the same im im ashamed that my brothers and sisters are engaging in so much slander............. Would Guru Nanak Dev Ji be proud of our actions? waheguru
  10. ^^^^ exactly............ i mean we have a gatka class every week, our Ustaad is wicked because he always does parchaar after our classes in English, he takes tuks of Bani and breaks it down to simply and now parents are even staying for the classes I guess we need to target our gurdwara.............i mean SUNDAYS at the gurdwara............soooooooooooo many people are there...............Waheguru is bringing them there...........i may get shoot for saying this.............but at the moment English parchaar in Ghurghars is definatly needed...............for the initiation of the "waking up process" lol...as i like to call it............... We need to be honest.........in many homes...........Punjabi is hardley spoken............so where after akand paths on Sundays theres is this Massive window of opportunity..........for Parchaar............... But what happens?..........gurdwara politics..........why is so hard to ensure everything understands why they sitting there............How special there are , to, at that, moment be sitting in Guru's charan....................Sikhi parchaar need to be done with love and devoution..........but can this been found?
  11. Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh Jio This has long been on my mind, so i thought to share with sangant........with waheguru blessing this paapi with Amrit di daat, just coming up to one year now......i was reflecting on the journey waheguru took me on............and the most visable thing was........that physically........i was one my own..........(but Guru was hamesha ang sang) what i mean to say is.........i would go to listen to katha at Gurdwara, and often would leave feeling abit dazed and the parchaar was (at that time) very deep and i was unable to understand it......... Now a few weeks ago, one of my mates, (who is a Rhadaswami) brought her "Master "Maharaj" Charan Singh" dvd to my house............i was very duboius as to her intentions but i sat down and watched it never the less..........i was quite amazed at the 3 divans i watched............i have no clue about Rhadaswamis and their beliefs..........but the parchar that this so called "Master" did was actually quite acurate and more importantly very easy to understand.................. I laughed with my friend and sed well "i realy enjoyed the prechar..........hes does realy good katha" so in my eyes i saw nothing more that a katha vachik, (without implying any dis-respect to the mahan - katha vachiks of the Sikh Panth) BUT to people like my friend..........they see "this amazing person" who is revealing the word of God and flock behind him like lambs..................the worry her is the the REAL mster Dhan Dhan Guru Granth Sahib Ji is being passed of as noting more that a "book" not just in non-sikhi groups............but scarily in our very own sikh kaum.............This silent and deadly assasination of our living Guru is sad but what can we as gursikh do to remind people.........."sab sikhan ko hukam hai GURU maneyo GRANTH" and not some person, who, with all due respect has done Kauge of Bani but them proceeds to act as they are to Key to getting closer to God? So the question i guess im asking is................what is happening to sikhi parchaar? what changes have to be made to ensure sikhs are made aware of What sikhi actually is? I mean u have Great MAHAN gursikhs like Giani Thankur Singh who are awaking sikhi inside many people, but how can we, help spread this message furthur that one Has a Guru that is Living today, in the roop of Guru Granth Sahib Ji.........and They are the True Path to God? my post is not meant to cause offense, if anything i have sed does, please consider me and maha paapi and forgive all my shortcomings........ Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh
  12. woooooooooooow thats sounds ABSOLUTLY AMAZING!!!!! Amazing sewa man.......................
  13. Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji ki Fateh Pahji!! Long time no darshaaan man...........hope my swwet pahji is in chardi kalah......... Yeah Ustaad Ji does classes on Thursdays 6pm onwards, i learned my basic uhra/iarah from Them and They are realy good, they have so much pyaar and shardi for Maharaj's bani (as do all gursikhs ) The way he teaches you is good cos i picked it up quite quickly.........and tell me tell you.......im proper dumb :BL......also when u go take a copy of the "Bal Updesh" book, you get get a copy from DTF on Soho Road but u will need that book to learn ur basics and Muharni.......... Drop and bell if you need any more advice............ Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh!!
  14. waheguru hehehe...that reminds me, i was at this house program once and the family had a parrot and while Giani Ji was doing vichaar the parroot would go "waheguru, waheguru, waheguru"..........hehehe it was sooooooooo cool. just thought id share...........that parrot has japped more namm than my mummy ji
  15. Gurfateh If we look at the avasta of a sant/braimgyani............we need to look no furthur that ashpadi 7-8 of sukhmani sahib and in itself tells the qualities and vitues of such enlightened souls..... Here lies the problem.............when people reach such an avasta................the tests that a person who has such a high avasta are very hard.............for example...........a papi like me who loved Snickers chocolates before she took amrit........Maharajs test for me may be on day coming to work and find a massive box of sickers minis in the staffroom table........ and my test is to ensure i dont give into temptation and eat them (cos they got egg in, for those who dnt know ) But someone doing bhagti for example, there tests are like next level..........they may start to get a following of people around them......and they start bowing down to him...........he has two choices.........1. maya creeps in but he look to waheguru and ask for protection against maya and pray that he does not get hankaar/haumai because and this and realsie that it is not him they are bowing to but waheguru himself.................2. maya creeps in and he starts enjoying the facts that people are bowing to him and in that moment forgets waheguru and starts considering himslef something...................unfortunatly some/most of these fake babeh probably at one stage were doing bhagti..........but bcos kaljug da pehra is so bad, they give into maya and hence theres so many of the fakers running around cos they've lost their kamai......... But the trues ones see waheguru everywhere...........so when its coming to letting people doing the sewa..............if they are seeing waheguru in everyone..............to them.........its waheguru doing it............if that makes sense...............they dont see, you, me, him, her, them, they see in the jot inside you thats realy doing the sewa..............that being waheguru........... jh Awpn aUc Awpn Awip nyrw ] jeh aapan ooch aapan aap naeraa || When He Himself was lofty, and He Himself was near at hand, qh kaun Twkuru kaunu khIAY cyrw ] theh koun t(h)aakur koun keheeai chaeraa || then who was called master, and who was called disciple? ibsmn ibsm rhy ibsmwd ] bisaman bisam rehae bisamaadh || We are wonder-struck at the wondrous wonder of the Lord. nwnk ApnI giq jwnhu Awip ]5] naanak apanee gath jaanahu aap ||5|| O Nanak, He alone knows His own state. ||5|| jh ACl ACyd AByd smwieAw ] jeh ashhal ashhaedh abhaedh samaaeiaa || When the Undeceiveable, Impenetrable, Inscrutable One was self-absorbed, aUhw iksih ibAwpq mwieAw ] oohaa kisehi biaapath maaeiaa || then who was swayed by Maya? I guess the point im trying to make is.............what is that thing that makes us hesitate before serving someone who is considered having a high avasta? its OUR Haumai..........we need to work on our own kamai and bhagti by doing as much path, simeran, sewa to build our jeevans...............if we do this is a pure heart..............Nimerata comes naturally......... Sorry if ive gone off topic...........lol im just a useless babbler..... bhul chuck maafi!! Gurfateh!
  16. a very very good post.......we need more like these
  17. Gurfateh A very interesting question..............i guess the first question we have to ask............what is a gursikh? Gursikh/Gurmukh/Sant/Mahapursh/Braimgyani/ are given a very high darja by Guru Ji, but we seem to have this notion that every person who has taken amrit is automatically a GURSIKH............ Unfortunatly...............how we percieve such people and how Waheguru describes such people are very different..........the notion of a gursikh/gurmuth etc etc etc are so loosly thrown around now that they are seeming to lose their value.............. however if we go by wahegurus definitions....heres a few tuks that signify what exactly a gurmukh is............ gurmuiK jp qp sMjmI hir kY nwim ipAwru ] guramukh jap thap sa(n)jamee har kai naam piaar || For the Gurmukh, the love of the Name of the Lord is chanting, deep meditation and self-discipline. suK swgru hir nwmu hY gurmuiK pwieAw jwie ] sukh saagar har naam hai guramukh paaeiaa jaae || The Name of the Lord is the Ocean of Peace; the Gurmukhs obtain it. this shabad i guess realy sums it up isrIrwgu mhlw 3 ] sireeraag mehalaa 3 || Siree Raag, Third Mehla: hir Bgqw hir Dnu rwis hY gur pUiC krih vwpwru ] har bhagathaa har dhhan raas hai gur pooshh karehi vaapaar || The devotees of the Lord have the Wealth and Capital of the Lord; with Guru's Advice, they carry on their trade. hir nwmu slwhin sdw sdw vKru hir nwmu ADwru ] har naam salaahan sadhaa sadhaa vakhar har naam adhhaar || They praise the Name of the Lord forever and ever.
