Soho Road Jatha to destroy another Gurdwara ?

Saw the following on Tapoban. It is important that they are stopped from doing this. Firstly with the vast numbers of youth going astray in Punjab and falling victim to drugs etc this money could be better spent. Secondly the same jatha did the bodge up gold plating at the Darbar Sahib and refuses to accept the work is shoddy and destructive despite being told so by many experts.

Perhaps they are publicity crazy. I know that after they did the bodge up gold plating job on the Darbar Sahib that a few people who go to Soho Road were openly boasting about how first Maharaja Ranjit Singh Ji did the seva and now their Bhai Sahib had done it.

Only a few months ago we had the controversy over the gates they wanted to change at the Darshani Deori a story they later denied when the Sikh community spoke out against this.

Please can someone post a valid email contact for Soho Road Jatha as I am sure a few of us would like to make our views known and demand they put right the damaging work they did at the Darbar Sahib before the contemplate more gold plating jobs.

Second Golden Temple in the making

Within the next three years, Gurdwara Sachkhand Shri Hazur Abchalnagar Sahib will be completely covered with gold -- making it the second Golden Temple of Sikhs, after Harmandir Sahib, in Amritsar.

First you adress babaji and other sant mahapurakhs as " babas and sants" and then you go on to say that they are fools.

Im sorry but the word baba or sant cannot be in the same sentence as Fool.

We are the fools and they are the babas and sants.

they are of such importance in our life that Dhan Sri Guru Arjan Dev Ji Maharaaj wrote bani about them.

Seems the topic is not being addressed.

It IS a valid point, that if there are concerns, a report should be commissioned, just for Sangat's peace of mind.

That, from filtering through much of the nonsense posted in this thread would seem to be at least one thing that everybody agrees on.

The next issue then, is who will commission the report, and I have to say Kurtas makes a valid point, if there's nothing to hide then what's the problem? Another poster also mentioned that sure it may cost some money, but in comparison to all the money spent on the seva surely it would not break the bank?

If it really is about money then a campaign could be started by those who wish to have an independent report done, whereby they contribute half the cost of the report. If its about ego's...hmm.

When any seva is done, i presumed that you were like the jachak of the sangat, the very lowest. Doing seva doesn't give you the right to be unaccountable. At the same time, Bhai Mohinder Singh has done alot to raise profile of Sikhs in certain circles and his efforts should not simply be ignored. Respect, despite current societal trends, still is important. But again, with respect, there needs to be a mutual respect as brothers/sisters/sons/fathers/mothers/daughters between each.

Perhaps the issue could be taken up and discussed by one of the Sikh TV Channels?
