As long as you feel ok being a COWARD, go for it. Emphasising a difference because you're afraid of getting your bootha kicked by the BNP obviously.

So much for Sikh fearlessness.

Right so where cowards for letting people know who we are. LOL Afraid of getting my booth kicked in dont make me laugh geeza, I have had pangeh with bnp etc so many times u will loose count so believe me im not afriad of having some minors like bnps trying to kick me bootha in. BNP do know the difference but they still hate sikhs anyways. Dont u understand the 1st religious place of worship to be attacked was a gurudwara after the bombings, more gurudwaras where attacked than mosques and same with people. So what do u intend we do just walk around, letting the majority of the general public think we some hardcore right wing islamic terrorists????

Listen, I don't want to be associated with Mullahs, and if that means wearing a Khanda to say that the turban and beard I wear is different from that of the Mullahs then so be it.

You've obviously got a problem with me having a distinct Sikh identity, and thats your problem, not mine. Get over it! And get over your suree boothee!

Many good points. I see how it is suggested that the shirts educate. However, they do more. They also easily and slyly suggest, ... that if it is a muslim it's OK to freak especially if one is wearing a TURBAN.

116110

Rubbish. If I choose to differentiate myself from Mullahs then thats my choice. Why are you getting your knickers in a twist?

I don’t recall 911 hijackers, subway bombers, sadaam… wearing turbans. But how many innocent muslim civilians wearing turbans died simply defending their home and dignity from being invaded in Iran or Afghanistan?

116110

Simply defending there home? You are having a laugh. the Taliban were defending their home right? and what Iran got to do with it! I say good riddance to Saddam, Blair and Bush have done an excellent job in Iraq and Afghanistan purging them of dictators and fanatics.

How much of the western world did not give a @## cause they are “turbaned people”. We suggest that a Muslim who wants to raise his/her kids, live, love and laugh like anyone else is a terrorist because we associate them with wearing a turban. Sounds like a strangely familiar sentiment don’t you think?

116110

Sikhs do not impose their religion on anyone, wheras these Mullahs impose their religion on everyone. You are obviously blind to the goals of the Taliban and Hizbut Tahrir!

As Sikhs we are suggesting, “It is wrong to discriminate based on TURBANS, but Muslims turbans should be discriminated against”? Anyone recall the original target in France which effectively makes Sikhi illegal in that country?

116110

Well France is a Secular country and I have no problem with secularism, but I do with Jehadists! Its unfortunate that Sikhs have been caught up in this, but extreme reactions occur when you let fanaticism flourish! As Salaman Rushdie said, when where do you think the line on freedom should be drawn and on whom. His reply was on those who seek to use freedom to curb other peoples freedom, i.e. jehadists!

To clarify, I don’t care for Islamic religious, Christian religious zeal, hypocritical French Secularist Religious zeal… or any faith that is insecure about other faiths. However, a message such as the T-shirt takes on a different meaning in different places. If we want to stand up for rights and be brave etc., lets wear the same shirt in Pakistan, Iran or somewhere else where certain Muslims might be oppressing other faiths.

116110

We are not in an Islamic state but in the UK, so your points have no meaning. How is the French Secular Zeal hypocritical, since they've banned the crucifix too (in a Catholic Country). Can you see a so called Socialist like Saddam Hussain banning the hijab in his "Secular" regime?

However, if we claim to be brave and as such want to ensure that we are not naïve/phollay in Britain or America wear a shirt that says

BLAIR AND BUSH ARE WAR CRIMINALSor

          BE AFRAID

                                              of your own ignorance

Well I don't think Blair or Bush are war criminals. Bush is and <banned word filter activated> and Blair can be arrogant, but I for one am 100% behind Blair and 100% against mad mullahs!

I must admit I find I'm agreeing with you. I've always been a fan of Blair, but why the hell he is so close to Bush I don't understand. Maybe he feels he can restrain him. But since the floods I think Bush has got a dose of how uncaring he and his party are.

Waheguru ji kekhalsa, waheguru ji ke fateh

Pyare jio, I think the t-shirts are excellent, and quite humourous. Not sure what the PC brigde are upset about. If it said "fully loaded and ready to blow" then you may have a point, but it does not.

All communities have moved on, so why are Sikhs feeling so guilty when they look at self-preservation measures, in which ever form. During the 60`s, there was the Asian Underground Movement, against the BNP. Then Sikh, Hindus and Muslims were together. But since the 80`s and especially after the Salman Rushdie affair, Muslims have always only looked after themselves. They in the media never mentioned Sikh or Hindus, but always go on about how Islam is about peace. In Uk they even have their Muslim Parliament.

So why are Sikh not prepared to develop their own indepandant vioce and feel they need others to speak for them. Essentially Sikhs should be speaking for themselves. This T-shirt is only something small, but surely the debate it has caused shows we are overly conscious of upsetting others that is ridculous. Exactly how many muslims have complained about the T-shirt?

Speak to Sikhs in Slough and derby, and they will tell how they are treated day to day in schools by muslims youth. These are not isloated incidents but a larger bullying epidemic. Muslims know of this probelm, but in 10 years, I have yet to meet a muslim who accepts it, and will not go on about protecting these muslim bullies, or about how they have less oppotunities, rather than challenge their behaviour.

Muslims have created their own image, and we as Sikhs are victims by association, and in no way responsible for that. So if we are proactive against breaking down barriers, then it is good not bad.

Muslims before they talk about rights and freedoms need to analyse how many freedoms and rights they give to others, and how they percieve others and treat others.

waheguru ji ke khalsa, waheguru ji ke fateh

P.s. Why are the Uk sikhs T-shirt made in USA? Surely it should be made in UK? or China like everything else...
