grin.gif This not wearing red green colour issue's really weird. i've never herd before that u cant wear a particular colour in Sikhi. I've seen many Rumaleh that are red and green, (Is this not allowed then?)

I'm confused.....................

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa. Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh.

its true Sikh_Kuri. there are specific reasons for us not allowed to wear red and green. one of the reasons for red not being allowed to be worn by us is because it draws too much attention. females really like to wear red. why do you think women like wearing red on their weddings? and i wont post the other reasons for us not being allowed to wear red because i know that it will cause problems. there are reasons for us not being allowed to wear green too...but i know it will also cause some problems if i post them up.

my dear friend in gurmat every colour is sacred and represent some deeper meanings no colour is anti gurmat. And as far as red colour is concerned it is a colour of nirankar (i.e akal purakh).

"lal rang tis ko laga jis ke vadbhaga"

"lal rang kadde uttar na jayi"

"sajjan rang rangellere rang lal banaya"

i hope u r satisfied if not please let me know i can give u more parman from SRI GURU GRANTH SAHIB JI

Blue, Black, White and Saffron

These four colours are to be worn. Other colours excite the mind and lure it to vices, and are therefore prohibited. Amritdhari Singhs/Singhni’s are specifically not to wear red or green at anytime. One is to dress humbly, any simple colours can be worn.

Some wander around wearing saffron robes, as Yogis and Sanyaasees.
