Is there anything in Sikhism where it says you have to touch the feet of your elderly relatives ( paree panay) as a sign of respect?? or is it a punjabi cultural thing?

yea i figure it's alright to touch the feet of your elderly relatives and parents.....it's showing respect...so long as one doesn't "mattha tek" or do "dandaut" to them cos that is to be reserved for Guru Sahib Jee......lots of kids born and brought up in India/Punjab touch the feet of their parents too and i don't see any big deal with that.
