Waheguru jee ka khalsa waheguru jee kee fateh

Damdami Taksal and others are doing well , but I feel Sikhs in India needs Institute / Schools like Baru Sahib for Poor & middle class Sikhs families kids can get both education (Spiritual as well as School) in affordable cost.

Plus we drastically need to reform in existing Khalsa Schools run by SGPC / DSGPC. Must enhance / maintains quality of education, no comprormise on recuritment of teachers / staff , flexible fee structures (giving discount to poor & middle class families).

Pyare jio, in addition to the schools mentioned above by Damdami Taksal and sants, there are many more.

Sikh Missionary College has almost 2000 units in Punjab and throughout India, plus courses in many schools and universities. They have also purchased land to build a large Sikh university which they are building. AKJ has Smagams throughout India, and multiple programmes every week in villages and prataan Gurdwaras. Akal Academy is in the middle of a large expanison project building schools throughout Punjab.

Thousands of people take Amrit every month from the Thakhts administered by SGPC.

We may think this is alot and must be making a difference. But we have to look at what other influences in Punjab and india are doing.

There are huge deras built in Punjab by Ashutosh, baniaare wale. There are very few villages left in Punjab which do not have a Radhasomai dera. Naranakaris have developed into an effective Parchar movement which is now interntaional. RSS has crores of funding from the average tax payer. The population vacum in Punjab due to genocide and immigration has been filled by Biharis. Sikhs rather than bringing them into Sikhi, are pushing them away because of caste and other issues.

Drugs which were not existant in Punjab during the 80`s and up to 1992, then flooded it which such speed that it is highly suspicious. They are freely available with Punjab police openly involved in racket.

The culture of Punjab has changed with its music being hijacked by company cashing in on "nakedness", which is leading to whole change in the way Punjab thinks, behaves, dresses, especially in Youth. Combined with the TV revolution of westernism and hindu serials, the next generation will know very little of what Panjab was like before. We can complain, globalisation is something that cannot be ignored. Others take advantage of it, Sikhs seem to be increasing left behind.

So if you look at the situation in its entirety, alot of parchaar happenes in Punjab, but it is outwieghed by the many other influences.

gurfateh,

damdami taksal, was created by Guru Gobind Singh Ji for reasons alredyy stated, and i feel they have been doing good parchaar, i feel that even if the sgpc opened 100 etc schools all that wud be tort wud be a distorted version of sikhi e.g.nanakshahi calender, not full rehiraas sahib, 3 baneeaa, etc etc, u know wat i mean. its just a government organisation which is trying to take over everything now

I have alot of respect for the Damdami Taksal and I believe they are doing a great job of doing Sikhi Parchaar and teaching Gurbani.

BUT you reject the Nanakshahi calander, which is a Sikh calander unlike the Bikrami calander (Bipran ki reet calander).

I can see you are also a pro-Khalistani, but how can you support a Sikh country whilst still following a Hindu calander?

Very nice post by Jagjit Jee.

The influence of other Anti Panthic Groups can be substanitlly reduced if all the Panthic Groups start coordinate with each other, keep EKTA. Secondly a good number of Anti Panthic elements are working in these Panthic Groups so we need to eliminate them too for the better & effective working.

We need Parcharaks / Parchar Group who actually creates bridges among Panthic Institutes in India and abroad.

Programmes such as SANJHA KIRTAN DARBAR initiated by Veer Phaldip Singh is a wonderful example of what exactly Panth needs today.

Institute like Akal Academyshould also come up in cities where population of sikhs is very less.

I know its takes time to build up and create all the required infrastrucute for any project like our Akal Academy or Sikh Missonaries are working but I think they should expeditate their work because its already very late. Similarly Sikhs in India are anxiously waiting for ETC Khalsa T V, God knows whats reasons for delay in it.

The Hindu / Muslium Dharam have already running their channels on the national / internationl level.
