Hey how comes no one answered this question knowing the amount of spiritual folks we got on here.

Ok I will try to define it for you from my view, it may mean that sometimes individuals need a push in order to get something done. Had they not been religious they would have done things differently but because they are it further motivates them to make the decision they have or to thing in a certain way. Sort of puts you in a different trance. I believe we are always surrounded by spiritual energy, it’s up to us to utilize it in a positive way. And the more religious a person is, the more often will they exercise spiritual energy in their recurring thought process. Make sense?

Ok guest ji me thinks you may be referring to what we call “aura”

Like have you ever met someone who had like a powerful vibration, like just totally radiating – can be both positive or negative energy, like someone who is so so full of love like you’re so relaxed and comfortable around them whereby someone who is like full of gussa or hate and like you get bad vibes from like standing in close proximity; if so then like you have most likely experienced this persons aura

Auras are like circles of energy around alllll of us. this energy is also known as “prana”. In sanskrit prana means “pra” – moving or breathing forth and “an” is breathe/move/live so it’s like “moving or breathing forth” – but prana is not like breath it’s a sort of energy in all things

It’s like in all creations but is not a particle in the sense it can be like traced by scientific equipment etc

Like in the bible - book of Genesis the Hebrew term neshment ruach chayium is translated as breath of life” – but the word ruach makes it mean like “spirit of life” “and the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul”

Gurbani also has many references to prana – here are a few

qum sB swjy swij invwjy jIau ipMfu dy pRwnw ]

thum sabh saajae saaj nivaajae jeeo pi(n)dd dhae praanaa

You fashion all, and having fashioned them, You bless them. You bestow upon them soul, body and the breath of life.

so ikau ivsrY ijs ky jIA prwnw ]

so kio visarai jis kae jeea paraanaa ||

Why forget Him, unto whom the soul and the breath of life belong?

sB jogqx rwm nwmu hY ijs kw ipMfu prwnw ]

sabh jogathan raam naam hai jis kaa pi(n)dd paraanaa ||

All Yoga is in the Name of the Lord; the body and the breath of life belong to Him.

qum sB swjy swij invwjy jIau ipMfu dy pRwnw ]

thum sabh saajae saaj nivaajae jeeo pi(n)dd dhae praanaa ||

You fashion all, and having fashioned them, You bless them. You bestow upon them soul, body and the breath of life.

So your aura is made from prana and your aura will like vary according to how you feel, if we like intensify our pranic energy like do more bani, simran, be happy etc it will increase our vitality, health, power, influence, willpower, charisma etc

Pranic energy though is like lost all the time by every breath, thought, word but is also like renewed with every breath

Praying increase pranic energy and like simran is the most refined form of prana – its when we are more spiritually attuned like when your mind is relaxed.

Like sometimes the energy we feel from a chardi kala Gursikh/Mahapursh Sant is their prana we can feel, like its just flowing and it can be transferred to us through osmosis; in Sanskrit again this is called “darshan” - in the terms of sight so even to see such a enlightened being we can feel their prana; be wary of this next time you visit Guru Sahib! pray.gif

Hope this helps!

Sorry if it didn’t make much sense!

yeh... completely agree with the above 2 posts.... a perfect example is Bhai Sahib Bhai Jeevan Singh.. I mean even when you look at his pictures, he always has a 'glow' to him.. gurmukhs like that, their jeevan is so pure... their avasthaa is so up there... there's some people that, even at a gurdwara or samagam or something, when they walk by, everybody just stops and looks at them... they don't really have a reason... there's alwayz one person that 'stands out'... and i's not always because of the way they look... its jus their spiritual 'aura' around them...

like kulpreet singh said.. people that do continuous naam jap and bani will have that type of effect.... there's people that, their avasthaa is so high, that all they have to do is LOOK at sumbody and that persons life can be changed...

many of us have had the 'great fortune' of meeting gurmukhs, sants, and mahapurakhs like this...

Dhan Guru Nanak...

The energy field (Electromagnetic field) "Aura" surrounds your body in the same way as the Earth's Magnectic field envelopes the earth :) . When it's strong through meditation connecting with the Divine and nourishing your 3-fold ~*, it acts as a container for your life force (Pranaa), and allows that life force to build up to a level where you feel confident , secure and re-connected. It is from this position of security that you can treat others with mercy (with grace and strength), and your very presence services the ability to uplift all. I'm sure you have all experienced felt that strong centered energy. Sanghat that is SOUL radiant you just love being around. The Aura is your protection, it’s like your invincible extremely penetrating shield. It can attract positivity and repel negativity. There are many blessings that come with having a strong 'aura' like you don't get physically sick often and negative company doesn't influence you -your energy cancels there negativity out and transforms it positive. We are very blessed to be in that company of the Holy, any spiritual and loving person. As there energy field interacts with ours, it automatically elevates us. Importance of Sadh Sanghat...and keeping up..This is just my experienced.

    • Umm, that's totally irrational, bro. There are plenty of prakash-dara Singhs in Punjab (less than we'd like, but still plenty). No one cares that you are sabat soorat. It isn't 1986. You can walk around in chola, kurta-pajama, or jeans. Whatever. If you want the look @dallysingh101 is referring to, just go into a cheap clothing shop (not a Western-style mall) and buy some shirts for 250 rupees or a track suit for 2000 rupees. You'll get the cheap stuff made in some sweatshop in Bombay.
    • The Mind is Jyot Saroop (Waheguru), but the mind is under the influence of five evils… Through Naam Simran( Rememberance), the mind will begin to detach from evil, and get back to its original form ( MANN TU JYOT SAROOP HEH)… Until the mind breaks free from the five evils, one will go through the cycle of paap and punn….which leads to Karma… Naam Simran destroys past karma, and prevents new karma coming into fruition… I did this, I did that… This non realisation of the Jyot Saroop gives rise to paap and Punn, which in turn gives birth to suffering and misery…
    • I agree we're not born with sin like the Christians think. Also I agree we have effects of karma. But Gurbani does state that the body contains both sin and charity (goodness): ਕਾਇਆ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਪਾਪੁ ਪੁੰਨੁ ਦੁਇ ਭਾਈ ॥ Within the body are the two brothers sin and virtue. p126 Actually, we do need to be saved. Gurbani calls this "udhaar" (uplift). Without Satguru, souls are liable to spiritual death: ਜਿਨਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਨ ਭੇਟਿਓ ਸੇ ਭਾਗਹੀਣ ਵਸਿ ਕਾਲ ॥ p40 Those who have not met Satguru Purakh are unfortunate and liable to death. So, yeah, we do need to be saved, and Guru ji does the saving. The reason Satguru is the one to save is because God has given Satguru the "key" (kunji): ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਹਥਿ ਕੁੰਜੀ ਹੋਰਤੁ ਦਰੁ ਖੁਲੈ ਨਾਹੀ ਗੁਰੁ ਪੂਰੈ ਭਾਗਿ ਮਿਲਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੭॥ In the True Guru's hand is the key. None else can open the door. By perfect good fortune the Guru is met. p124
    • That's unfortunate to hear. Could you give any more information? Who was this "baba"? He just disappeared with people's money? Obviously, you should donate your money to known institutions or poor people that you can verify the need of through friends and family in Punjab.
    • Sangat ji,  I know a family who went Sevewal to do seva sometimes end of 2019. They returned last year in great dismay and heart broken.  To repent for their mistakes they approached panj pyaare. The Panj gave them their punishment / order to how t make it up which, with Kirpa, they fulfilled.  They were listening to a fake Baba who, in the end, took all the "Donations " and fled sometime over a year ago. For nearly 4 years this family (who are great Gursikhs once u get to know them) wasted time and effort for this fake Baba. NOT ONLY this one fam. But many, many did worldwide and they took their fam to do seva, in village Sevewal, city Jaitho in Punjab. In the end many families lost money in thousands being behind this Baba. The family, on return, had to get in touch with all the participants and told them to stop.  I am stating this here to create awareness and we need to learn from whom we follow and believe. It's no easy but if we follow the 3 S (Sangat, Simran and Seva) we will be shown the light. As I am writing this the family in question have been doing the same since 2008 onwards and they fell for this Baba... it is unbelievable and shocking.  This am writing in a nutshell as am at work on my break so not lengthy but it deserves a great length.  Especially the family in question, who shed light on youngsters about Sikhi 20 plus years!!
