Basically this was about a guy hu loved god so much that god decided to test him ..... so god came down to earth in a human appearence and went to visit his worshiper to see if he would be able to recognise his lord. At first he didnt recognize hu he was talkin to so he starts off by asking mahraaj questions lyk hu are u n stuff ...... but eventually he regonises mahraaj and gets happy and praises mahraaj. i think this is a sakhi from before guru nanak ji's tym.

hmm makes sense but Guru Nanak Dev ji was born like almost 300 years after Bhagat Nam dev ji. So i think wat may have happened is what you described above. but this was way before Guruji's Time :wub:
