no w8, namdharis is a hole different religion yeah... they're not part of the panth because they dont accept our guru as guru, but they have theyre own guru... get tht right!

They munipulate the Sikh religion. So we should look at naamdharis as bandits ready to steal your faith.

It is not a whole separate religion !!!!! Once they want darshan of the SatGuru then they will look towards Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji without any doubts. They beleive in the lineage of Guru Nanak and keep some of the teachings of Sikhs so how can they be a completely separate religion?????????????? They do have a person installed as a leader but he is no guru. All the people that visit him are not Sadh Sangat, they are just a group of mislead souls from the lies of a liar stating that GuruJi gave a man GuruJyot instead of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. They are rotten souls trying to grab the robe of the Guru while they are sinking in their sinking sand.

The ONLY living Guru Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaj

So u wouldn't visit him? So u wouldn't want to find out why they do it? U wanna keep narrow minded and learn nothing from other people? Or even learn about other people?

What can you learn from theives? Why waste your time. Namdharis cannot be classified as a Religion because the have nothing new to offer. They rely on Gurbani and Sikh History, how can they be a seperate religion!

Its narrow mindeness to continue justifying their existence. What has Jagjit added to Sikhi? His so called classical skills are non-existent, politically he is non-existent - a silent voice under govt funding. I think the only real thing Jagjit and gang have done is Apollo Hospital, but the truth is that Apollo is a organisation that runs hospitals across India! All Namharis did was donate part of the land. Everything else was from Apollo funds!!!

What can you learn from him?

erm u guys are going to say im 'pro namdhari' again but...

Partap singh always said that he was not the 14th nanak, he didnt have a gaddi, and always used 2 touch the feet of Sant Baba Puran singh...

The l8est 'guru' of namdhari is Jagjit singh he is the onli one that has a gaddi.

So dont do nindiya of partap singh because he was decent guy!

Singh_jee,

When did the naamdhari guru Partap Singh touch the feet of Baba Puran Singh? Is this another on of your fabrications?

The gaddi claim came from the time of Baba Ram Singh who the naamdharis proclaimed to be 12th Nanak. Partap Singh and naamdharis openly claimed Partap Singh was the 14th Nanak and sitting on the gaddi. All EA Sikhs know this. Naamdharis are always legitimising naamdharism as an extension of Sikhi by making up stories that the naamdhari gurus never made any claims.

Anyway back to the topic, yes naamdharism did acutely grow in an undercover way within the Kenyan "Ramgharia" Community during the 50s and 60s. Many second generation Kenyan born naamdharis however opted out of the faith and went back to mainstream Sikhi. My family is a prime example of a certain EA family structure where the Grandparents generation remained naamdhari, but the Parents generation followed mainstream Sikhi as have the younger generation. What you will find is that the naamdharism entered and disappeared within one or two generations of a large portion of EA Sikh families.
