Dear Cyber Sangat, especially sangat of California (Yuba City area)

Today I had the opportunity to listen to Dr AJ Sekhon who is a gursikh serving in the United States Army. He is a veteran of two major wars, Desert Storm and the current Iraq conflict. He has a medical degree, has a law degree, and has several army degrees as well. You can read up on all this on your own time, but let me tell you what this singh had to say to our sangat today:

He said he joined the American army so Americans could know who Sikhs are. He said that in 1914 there was an article in the californa newspaper that Hindus are genetically an inferior people and are dirty. In those days, all the early sikh settlers in california were called Hindus. Even to this day, descendants of those early sikhs call themselves hindus. So this culture of hatred in america is being overcome by the sikh community as they own thousands of acres of land in california. Sekhon says that sikhs need to join mainstream politics in america.

He says that he is by no means a politician. he said if he was running in India he would never win because our people don't like to hear the truth. he said americans are very good peopel because they like candidates who are genuine and honest and tell the truth. he says this is why many gore support his campaigne. he has already won the primary and is neck to neck with his republican opponent.

He says he is not perfect but whatever he does he first asks himself if guru sahib would approve. he says he greets everyone with fateh, even goreh. His daughter asked him that of he was elected would he say fateh in the US House of Reps, he said yes. He said he would first say fateh before every address he would give in the house of Rep. He said when gore find out what fateh means they would all start saying it as well.

It si also reassuriong to know that this gursikh has the panth's interests in mind. He supports panthic agenda and is a firm believer in guru granth and guru panth.

Sangat of cali, you gotta support thsi singh with all your might.

sadly sekho sahib says that he is recieving most of teh support from gore and not indians. he said indians have such a slave mentality that they think that like uganda, if indians vote for him, the goreh are gonna kick them out of america...and this he says is coming from so called sikh professionals doctors and lawyers...you know the ususal sikh sikhaan da vairi.....

he said any person who wears a dastaar on their head and has a slave mentality is a disgrace to sikhi.

there is so much more that this singh said but one cool vichaar he gave was very deep...he said when we take amrit, we don't just become sikhs of guru sahib, we become sikhs of God. he said the panj piyaare didn't take amrit from guru gobind singh but from gobind rai...the panj pyaare then gave amrit to gobind rai to make guru gobind singh ji. This singh had much more to say...

anyways hope this singh wins and we hear fateh in US gov't!

Colonel Sekhon has been recently selected to command another Combat Support Hospital.

Dr. Sekhon provides free medical care to any and all disabled American veterans.

AJ Sekhon ji is absolutely amazing and a true inspiration for Sikhs living outside India. I heard him speak also and he's exactly what Sikhs and all Americans in general need. He's an advocate of truth in all corners of life, has a straightforward attitude amongst people, and his achievements and credentials cannot be matched. He is a perfect example of the "ideal" Sikh.

I will pray for this Singhs chardi kala and i hope everyone else does also.

Speaking of victory, he asked that no one do ardaas for his victory, because if he wins his opponent will lose, he asked the sangat on how can we ask for his victory if we ask for sarbat da bhala in that very ardaas?
