Vaaheguroo jee kaa khaalsaa, Vaaheguroo jee kee fateh sangat jee

In my previous post, one of our brothers called 'sukhchain' on this forum asked about what a Jamdhooth is. I am not sure how to give the correct description, so if anybody can give the correct description, please do so... all i know is that a 'Jamdhooth is The Messenger of Death'

It is a black fugre, and apparently according to a singh who has seen one, they have a black face with red eyes and it is the most disgusting mot ugliest thing they have ever seen, and apparently it has really long legs :@

They can be stopped by japping naam (meditating on the name - vaaheguroo) and they can be stopped by using shashtar such as a kirpaan and apparently for some reason it has to be made from Sarbloh - I do not know why though.

P.s. Does anybody know the reason why only srabloh shashtar (weapons) work against Jamdhooth's and not normal metal?

Please sangat jee, if anybody has anymore information about what a Jamdhooth is, then please with all means post it, thank you jee.

Vaaheguroo jee kaa khaalsaa, Vaaheguroo jee kee fateh sangat jee

ur thoughts on jamdhoot are abit wrong. theyre not something u need to learn to defend against with weapons, u will encounter them at the time of death. they don't haunt u and scare u like ghosts, demons etc these jamdhoots are beings in the afterlife. gurbani says naam is the only protection from these jamdhoots. they arent scary creatures on this planet where a sarbloh kirpaan will be needed, these jamdhoots are actually horrific messengers of DEATH and u will enounter them only at the time of death. however they are scared of gurmukhs, so let us jap naam and follow bani!

No need to be sacred of the JamDhoots as long as you Naam jap.

Here is a description of the Jams :

Then, two terrifying messengers of Yama are come, of fierce aspect, bearing nooses and rods, naked, with grinding teeth. As black as crows, with hair erect, with ugly faces, with nails like weapons; seeing whom his heart palpitates and he releases excrements. The man of the size of a thumb, crying out 'oh, oh,' is dragged from the body by the servants of Yama, looking the while at his own body. Having put round him a body of torment, and bound the noose about his neck, they forcibly lead him a long way, like the king's officers a convict. While thus leading him the messengers menace him, and recount over and over again the awful terrors of the hells ; crying loudly 'Oh, oh,' he is beaten by the servants of Yama. With failing heart and shuddering at their threats, bitten by clogs upon the way, afflicted, remembering his misdeeds, Hungry and thirsty, roasting in the sun, forest-fires and hot winds, struck upon the back with whips, painfully he walks, almost powerless, along a road of burning sand, shelterless and waterless. Here and there falling exhausted and insensible, and rising again,--in this way, very miserably led through the darkness to the abode of Yama, The man is brought there in a short time and the messengers show him the terrible torments of hell. :sady:

i don't think jamdoots can be avoided with any shastar. they can be avoided only with gurbani....but, if someone is a true gursikh, he will not do this... singhs don't fear from death...i think using gurbani to avoid death is misuse of gurbani...we should accept our death when it comes...no matter wat type of jamdoots are they... just say "tera kiya mitha lage...har naam padarath nanak mage" but, don't try to avoid the truth...face it like a true singh.

The only way to avoid Jamdoots are if you are a gursikh and do a lot of naam...if your not a gursikh and dont do naam then you should be afraid of Jamdoots...because a Sant once said that if your not a gursikh and dont do namm then these jamdoots will come and beat you all the way to Dharm Raja...where he will tell you all the deeds you have done in your life....but what Barjinder Singh said...we shouldnt just use naam now because we are afraid of death...one should be a gursikh when his own mind and soul tells him to...because if someone is forced to be a gursikh and his mind isnt made up....then he will try and break it...anyways try your best to do naam...and with whaeguru's kirpa amrit will also be blessed.
