1606 : Jahangir received false reports on Guru Arjan Dev Sahib Ji's blessing Khusrau.

Anyone please explain more about these events that occurred this Day 22nd May

I found this for the first one, 1964 incident:

The sangat of Poanta Sahib had requested head of Tarna Dal (not Nihal Singh, but the one before him) to visit the Gurdwara. They complained that the residing masand was abusing the Gurdwara premises through drinking, raping women that came alone, and making prostitutes dance inside. After several such requests Babaji decided to visit Poanta Sahib accompanied by 13 GurSikhs. They left, from Gurdwara Haria Welan Hoshiarpur, riding horses and horse drawn carts. When they arrived near Gurdwara Poanta Sahib, two GurSikhs carried Babaji's message for the masand requesting initiation of a Akhand Path at the Gurdwara. The masand did not give a definitive answer, instead assured to respond before the next morning. Meanwhile the masand confided with the local police chief, one of his corrupt friends who endorsed and permitted his evil acts.

Babaji started the Akhand Path next morning which proceeded uninterrupted for 2 days. On the 2nd day, the masand came with the police. They arrested Babaji who was outside at that time and fired at the GurSikhs inside, who were conducting the Akhand Path. The GurSikhs had no guns. For they had not come with the intent to fight, but rather to hear the sangat's concerns. As a result they were brutally massacred. Eleven died and two survived. As each Pathi was shot while reciting the Guru Granth Sahib, another simply pushed his body and continued the uninterrupted recitation of Sri Guru Granth Sahib. Nihal Singh, 21 at the time, continued with his choar sewa (even when he had been shot 3 times) until the last GurSikh was shot. As the Akhand Path was interrupted, Nihal Singh finally fell. The only survivor was the youngest GurSikh, a 11 year old, who was found hiding behind a nagara (drums). Besides him all others were presumed dead. It wasn't until the bodies were being loaded up in a cart that a small child saw Nihal Singh breath and informed the local sikhs. The local sikhs who had gathered by now, screamed to get him some medical attention. Fortunately they succeeded in their efforts. He received medical attention and survived with Vaaheguru's grace. He was subsequently honored by many gurdwaras as "Jinda-Shaheed" Jathedar. The masand was finally removed. Akhand paths are held each year in the commemoration of this event.

and for the second one 1606 I found this:

The youngest son of fourth Guru Ram Das, Guru Arjun Dev was born at Goindwal, near Amritsar, in 1563 A.D. Guru Arjun Dev Ji was the founder-builder of Sri Harmandir Sahib, the holiest shrine of the Sikhs.

Guru Arjun Dev completed many tasks for the Sikh religion. He expanded the city of Amritsar and Kartarpur and founded the city of Tarn Taran. He dug up several wells and However, the most significant of all was his compilation the Adi Granth in 1604 A.D. donr by collecting the authentic texts of the Bani (holy utterances) of the four Gurus who preceded him. Equally significant is that he included in the Granth Sahib selections of spiritual verses of other Indian Bhaktas and saints, both Hindus and Muslims. As such, Sri Guru Granth Sahib, which is now the living Guru of Sikhs, is truly in its content a universal gospel of peace.

At the time of Guru Arjan Dev Ji, a large number people of all castes were becoming Sikhs. Even a large number of Muslims had accepted Guru Arjun as their guide and religious teacher, or Guru.

This was unacceptable to some of the Qazis and Mullahs (Muslim Priests) who then became determined to put a stop to it. They conspired and convinced the Emperor Jahangir, son of Akbar the Great that Guru Arjun was a deterrent to the spread of Islam and urged him to stop him. The ghastly solution they came up with was to end Guru Arjun's life. The Emperor promised to meet their wishes.

It so happened that Jahangir's son Khusrau rose against him but lost the battle, and ran away towards Lahore. Jahangir wanted to catch and punish him and his accomplices.

The stage was now set for the conspirators to spring their plan. They instigated Jahangir against Guru Arjun Dev with false stories that Khusrau met him at Goindwal and asked for his help and that in turn Guru Arjun Dev prayed for his success against the emperor and gave him a large sum of money.

This angered Jahangir who ordered for Guru Arjun Dev Ji's capture and consequently his execution.

Guru Arjun was then arrested on the orders of the Emperor and brought to Delhi. Guru Arjun said that he had done no wrong. But Jehangir ordered that he be punish as per Mughal law of 'Ba-Yasa' (executed so that the vicitim's blood not be spilt) and consequently was made to sit on a red-hot iron plate, as burning sands were poured on his body. Then the Guru was given a dip in boiling water and was thus tortured for five long days.

However as horrible as these tortures were they had no effect on the high spirit of Guru Arjun who refused to relent. He continued to maintain that freedom of religion was inalienable. Finally, Guru mind was joined with God's and he prayed, "Sweet is to me is Thy will O Lord; I crave nothing but the blessing of Thy name." The Guru walked into the River Ravi and this was the last glimpse his devotees had of the Guru. Guru Arjun was barely 43 years old at the time of his Supreme sacrifice.

Some further stories on Jathedar Sant Baba Nihal Singh Ji Tarna Dal Harian Welan

1980

With the protection of Jathedar Sant Baba Nihal Singh Ji, Krishan Kaur Khalsa was the first woman to perform kirtan, in recent time, within the confines of Sri Harimandir Sahib. Vikram Singh Khalsa was performing kirtan on the Gurupurab for the birthday for Guru Ram Das Ji. This kirtan was for a Bhog on the roof of the Harimandir Sahib -- not in the main hall. When he finished, he motioned for Krishna Kaur Khalsa to play. As she began some SGPC sevadars moved to stop her but Jathedar Sant Baba Nihal Singh Ji and some other Nihungs stood in their way and protected her right to perform kirtan within the confines of the Harimandir Sahib. Still no Sikh woman has performed kirtan in the main darbar.
