hmm.. sat sri akal...?

i could say salaam but it dont make sense anymore for me.

i'm since 2 years muslim, i became one because i was so fascinated from

the arabian and persian cultur. but later i found out islam has

nothing to do with the cultur, islam is just a religion not the lifestyle.

first i was so fascinated... from the people.

i never had the feeling while read the quran and the hadith books

"yea.. it all make so much sense!" like so many other muslims say. it made

no sense for me.. never..

i was young and dumb.. so i said the shahada and tryed to be a good

muslim...

but since half year i feel such a hard conflict in myself.

half year ago i meet a older sikh singh at the metro station, first

sikh i saw in my life...

we talked bit, and since this i'm confused.

in islam are alot of things i dont like, i believe since i was a little

girl into reincarnation, that allah\waheguru is always around us,

equality for all.

first month as muslim i thought cool.. womans can do the same like the

mens but then...

muslims say always woman and man are equal - so why woman cant choose a

husband from another religion?

first time i read the sggs on english i was crying... i read maybe only

the first 300sites but it was so perfect. it made all sense, not like

the quran.

what do you think.. should i move to a gurudwara and talk to a granthi?

is it maybe better?

because in islam i`m really unhappy.. it make me so aggressiv.. so

hateful.. i dont want to be like this! no..

i dont want a woman who thinks dogs are unclean.. because i love dogs.

i dont want to forget allah/waheguru.. okay i could split from the

islam community BUT that is no solution.

in religion the community is very important i think.....

I want some advise what I should do. Can I email someone for help?

peace.

For someone new to Sikhi who is not fluent in Punjabi you may find that the Gurdwara could be a difficult starting point especially if the Granthi there is not fluent in English, etc. I would suggest you find a practising Sikh girl around your own age who is knowledgable about Sikhism and start learning with her, practising Sikhi and attending Gurdwara, programs, etc with her help.

Many people who convert to Islam are always first fascinated. But then it becomes a headache with all their requirements. Especially those who want to become complete Muslims! I know Muslims who do not pray 5 times a day or even fast.

I had a Muslim friend who said we have to enter the toilet with our right foot first

In Gurbani it says it is very hard to call you're self a true Muslim.

It has been a good few years since I was in Holland but when I went last I visited the Gurdwara in Amsterdam. There is quite a mixed sangat there. Some Dutch people have married SIkhs and attend.

It might be worth visiting there. They used to have a program Sunday mornings I think.

But firstly I would advise some serious research and self reflection on your part.

Good luck

In my opinion i feel as if you have been given a gift from Waheguru to get the chance to understand Sikhi and become part of the sangat. If you are certain you want to leave Islam for Sikhism, and you have researched about Sikhism e.t.c then as someone has already said ... you could find a Sikh Girl who would support you and help you understand things maybe that you dont understand. This could be a very big step although it definatley would be an inspriational step. Please forgive me if i have said anything wrong.... d_oh.gif

Even if you can not get in touch with any sikh girls where you live then you could always ask one of us ... :TH:

I seriously advise you too find a sikh girl about your age and ask her to take you too the gurudwara's and also the programs that are held. talking to a granthi is a good idea but most granthi's aren't very fluent in english so you might end up in a problem wink2.gif

so having afriend take you along is better than nothing

Dear sister,

Sikhism is not a religion, but a way of life.To develope yourself spiritually and to become worthy of UNION with the creator of the Universe, that is VAHIGUROO.

But, Sikhism is very hard to earn, in this game of love we have sell ourselves to Guru Sahib to be come worthy of Keerpa(mercifull blessing).
