mklq: i understand what you're saying.. but look, you're ridiculing to sikhs who may have good intentions based on the fact that some stupid columnist wrote something... is it the models's fault that the article says that? no, it's t he columnists fault.... that's what i'm trying to say... like maybe they're doing anything in their immediate power to kinda change what sikhs look like in India..

and bhanji, i understand.. i agree fully, that theys hould become khalsas.. but even though they're not, they still may be feeling the urge to help out their fellow sikh brothers, and maybe they feel this is helping in a way.. i dunno about you, but if this changes the image from goofy and stupid to something more pleasant.. i dunno.. i think that's a good thing

i know that you have good intentions when you speak good about them

and i know they have good intentions

and you can't judge somebody who has good intentions

but like lauryn hill says in her songs "the road to hell is paved with good intentions"

i'm sure some people in the USA army had good intentions when they attacked iraq

but they've caused hundreds of thousands of iraqi people to die

and nobody even knows about it

even the soldiers don't know as much as they should know

they had good intentions but they are doing so much paap

so anyway

what i mean to say is

awareness and education is more important than good intentions

that's why guru jee says

you might have lots of daya,

but naam is more important

because naam makes you full aware

man not everybody sits behind a computer and does nothing so chill out, all you people who are the opposing side also sit on a computer....nobody said the models were at fault about the article, so your logic has flaws also as your post is based on this assumption, as for people saying things on computer, this is a forum, thus expressing thoughts on the computer encompasses the concept of a forum. As for India, our image is not going to be made by Indian films. It is made through our actions and our following of Sikhi, rather than putting your Sikh identity in the hands of film directors in Bollywood take hold of it yourself. Having Sikh models is not going to make the world respect Sikhs, because if it is then our shaheeds made a mistake and should have just walked the runway instead of kissing the hangman's noose to showcase the sikh image.

By the way I'm sick of hearing this "talking behind a computer" don't know me to judge me, I may be doing more than you think.
