Fading Tracks On Ipod

Those of you who use itunes would know about this. When you use itunes on the computer, there is a way to make a track fade into the next one (crossfade playback). But when you've transferred your playlists to an ipod, then the tracks don't do the fading thing anymore. Is there a way to make the tracks fade in the ipod, or is that not possible?

Apparently the feature on the IPods are not available as yet. So what people do is combine tracks into one seamless track with programs such as: mp3wrap.

Or you could do it in iTunes as well:

To remove the gap of silence that normally occurs between songs, make sure the songs on the CD are sorted by track number in ascending order (click the top of the first column so that it's blue and you see a triangle that points up), then select two or more adjacent songs and choose Advanced > Join CD Tracks.

iTunes imports any joined songs as one track. To change back to importing the songs separately, select the joined songs and choose Advanced > Unjoin CD Tracks.

if you run into any problems during the process, this document might be helpful:

Join CD Tracks Command Is Dimmed

In addition some people have gotten cross-fading playback to work with RockBox with other 3rd party applications and firmware.
