Java Installation

Ok, I'm trying to install Java on my computer...well it was already installed but didn't work so I uninstalled and tried to re-install! The following error message keeps coming:

"This installation package could not be opened. Verify that the package exists and that you can access it, or contact the application vendor to verify this is a valid Windows Installer package"

So what on EARTH does that mean????? <_<

goto: http://java.sun.com/ and get the latest release from there.

Yeah, lol, I'm slowly realising that! I tried firefox too....but hey, obviously Mahraaj doesnt want me to get Java installed!
