Very few people know that Kashmiri sikhs were converted from PANDITS but they never follow brahmanical practices never go to devi place very devoted gursikhs they have surnames such as sudan, kaul etc but very devoted towards GURU JI. Their origin comes from Pandit Kirpa RAM who led the deputation to 9TH GURU.who on baisakhi 1699 left VEDIC RLIGION and annonced it and became singh. Now named KIrpa Singh that great singh attained martydom along with SAHIBZADA AJIT SINGH.Sikhs of Punjab should learn from them none of them is the supporter of RSS not even a single of them go to any dehdharis but these r neglted by their own brethen most of them r engaed in either hotel and tranport bussiness but majourity of them r members Indian ARMED forces as it is their only source of livlihood.They r perhaps most handsome persons in india as well as physically sound. But due movement in Kashmir and as members of indian army they r soft targets for both militants and indian forces .

now it is true that some kind of materilism may be there but still sikhi is very strong there. Now I come to jammu part there r 4 regions where sikhs r very devoted these r Poonch , R.S Purra , JAMMU city ,gol gujral and simple camp. These sikhs r engaged in transport bussiness, Indian Armed forces service and gun makings.Some of best gun makers r sikhs there known for skills.
