ਤ੍ਵਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥

ਕਥਤਾ ॥

Saying :

ਜਬ ਹੀ ਸੰਖ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਘਹਰਾਏ ॥ ਜੇ ਜੇ ਹੁਤੇ ਸੂਰ ਜਟਧਾਰੀ ਤਿਨ ਤਿਨ ਤੁਰੰਗ ਨਚਾਏ ॥

When the conch of war was blown, then all the warriors with matted locks caused the dancing of their horses;

ਚੱਕ੍ਰਤ ਭਈ ਗਗਨ ਕੀ ਤਰਨੀ ਦੇਵ ਅਦੇਵ ਤ੍ਰਸਾਏ ॥ ਨਿਰਖਤ ਭਯੋ ਸੂਰ ਰਥ ਥੰਭਤ ਨੈਨ ਨਿਮੇਖਨ ਲਾਏ ॥

The heavenly damsels were wonder-struck; the gods and demons felt agitated; the sun-god stopped his chariot in order to see that war;

ਸ਼ੱਸਤ੍ਰ ਅੱਸਤ੍ਰ ਨਾਨਾ ਬਿਧਿ ਛੱਡੇ ਬਾਣ ਪ੍ਰਯੋਗ ਚਲਾਏ ॥ ਮਾਨਹੁ ਮਹਾਂ ਮੇਘ ਬੂੰਦਨ ਜਿਯੋਂ ਬਾਣ ਬਯੂਹ ਬਰਸਾਏ ॥

He saw that various types of arms and weapons were being used in that fighting; the arrows were being showered like rain-drops;

ਚਟਪਟ ਚਰਮ ਬਰਮ ਪਰ ਚਟਕੇ ਦਾਝਤ ਤ੍ਰਿਣਾ ਲਜਾਏ ॥ ਸ੍ਰੋਣਤ ਭਰੇ ਬਸਤ੍ਰ ਸੋਭਿਤ ਜਨੁ ਚਾਚਰ ਖੇਲ ਸਿਧਾਏ ॥੨੬॥੧੦੦॥

The arrows hitting the armours were producing the crackling sound and it seems that the sparks are bursting forth with the burning of the straw; the clothes saturated with blood gave the semblance of the playing of Holi.26.100.
