is that why some vowels are before or after certain letters even in Gurmukhi. werds can only do so much once we try to spell, then it goes to origins. as I learn punjabi there are many of the same stumping questions you are saying aboot english.

My honest opinion is the english language was invented to make others appear underseducated only to the point of adding werds that mean other werds or werds that mean the same thing. The descriptions in the meaning of the werds just points towards going to an english uni or school in order to know what and how to "supposedly speak proper english". So it makes people look towards getting taught by the british. I like speaking american english because the US mocked england throughout US history and made our own way of talking so the british would know we are different then their ways of life.
