There are innumerable sakhis recunting how after Guru Ji's ascension, Hindus and Muslims had some scuffles, as the Hindus wanted to cremate Guru Ji and Muslims, bury Guru Ji... And then when they pulled the chadar, only what was left were some flowers, and Guru Ji were missing.

Howhever, according some JanamSakhis (i have heard at least), both Guru Jis wive and Guru Ji's 2 Sons were present at Kartarpur at the ascension of Guru Ji... SO wasnt it their right to decide what to do with the body? So the above sakhi is made-up?

Not really.. the point was that Guru Ji were above Birth and Death - Not buried nor cremated..

Did Gurujee "die" ?

I doubt it. He is still with us, closer than our hands, feet, eyes, nose, and He is there 24/7.

the "guru" which we have hanging on the wall in pictures was a man. he ate, drank, went to the washroom, had kids, slept, etc etc. his body perished like every other person. that's hukam. nobody is beyond hukam. guru sahib taught us about living in hukam and accepting it. so disappearing like some magician defeats the whole point of sikhi, hukam, and akal purakh's raza.

i think sakhis have been made as supernatural as possible so we can be awed by them, just like when the mughals demanded guru teg bahadur ji to do some miracles to prove he was a man of god but guru sahib refused, but on the other hand, we make guru sahibs do miracles all the time in sakhis.

just being born into this world is a miracle. that's the essence of gurbaani. but no, for us its not enough, the gurus had to fly, disappear, etc etc..were they gurus or X-men?

sorry to tick some people off. i know there are ridhia sidhiaa mentioned in gurbaani, but gurbaani reveals that the gurus were beyond these things and recognized living in akaal purakh's hukam as above such things.
