Could someone please suggest a really cheap car insurance provider for a new driver(UK), most of the people i have contacted are asking for like £1200, i was wondering if it is possible to get it

cheaper than that.

Try moneysupermarket.com or confused.com etc. Depends on individual circumstances but the cheapest i got was from 'More Than'.

Put your parents as first and second drivers - that will help as well, if they have a good record.

What car do u want insured, how old are you and how long have you had your license for?

I was with Quinn Direct when i first past my test, i paid 1200 on a 1.4l MK3 Golf for third party, fire and theft cover. Which is pretty decent.

But i found that they were absolute pants! V bad customer service, though for the sake of having insurance i kept them.

Im now on my second policy with More Than. they are good so far, and i pay just under a grand for a fully comprehensive cover including breakdown cover. But i now drive a 1.6l MK4 Golf GTI Lookalike (because its a lookalike doesnt effect insurance and yes i like german cars )

I used confuse.com to get my quotes.
