Vaisakhi- The Truth and the importance of Amrit

What happened on the day of Vaisakhi? Some people spread many lies

such as that Dhan Dhan Sahib Sri Guroo Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj didn’t

actually cut the panj pyare’s heads off but took them into a tent and

cut a goat’s heads off. I ask you all a question. Was Dhan Dhan Sahib

Sri Guroo Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj a liar? Was he a con artist who

tried to trick people? NO HE WAS NOT!!!! Recently there has been much

discussion of whether this took place or not.

I found this eyewitness statement from the day Akaal Purakh’s Fauj was

created written by a spy sent by Aurangzeb to spy on the sikhs

THE LAST REPORT: Eye witness account of Vaisakhi 1699 by Enemy spy!

There were many in Guroo Gobind Singh Ji’s camp whose intentions

altogether were not loyal, the all knowing Guroo knew this. One of

these spies of emperor Aurangzeb was called Abu-ul-traifi. He is

mentioned by the eminent scholar Bhai Vir Singh in his writings. Being

a spy he kept a daily journal of the events that took place for the

emperor.

Below is the translation for the accounts of vaisakhi day:

“On the day Guroo Gobind Singh Ji prepared Amrit in Anandpur, the

attendance in the diwan was about 50 to 70 thousand. The Mughals had

four thrones (seats of imperial power), Delhi, Agra, Lahore and

Kalanur. But the grandeur of Guroo Ji’s throne was in a class by

itself. The grandeur of this throne was out of this world.

Guroo Ji came to the diwan and, unsheathing his sword, spoke in a

thundering voice that he needed a head. No questions or hesitation at

all, Bhai Daya Ram came forward to Guroo Ji. Guroo Ji right in front

of all cut of his head from his body in one stroke. Every body present

was stunned. Then Guroo Ji again thundered and demanded one more head.

Right on Guru’s call, Dharam Chand got up, came to Guroo Ji, bowed his

head and said here is my offering of my head. Guroo Ji again, in one

stroke cut off Bhai Dharam chands head from his body.

Now there was a big commotion in the diwan. But Guroo Ji in his

thundering voice went on demanding heads, one after another. Himmat

Rai, Mohkam Chand and Sahib Ram got up and offered their heads. Guroo

Ji cut off the heads of these three also. Many from the congregation

went to Guroo Ji’s mother and narrated the whole happening in the

diwan to Mata Ji.

Guroo Ji cleaned up the blood from the five bodies and heads, and even

washed the floor, then the Guroo of these infidels stitched one head

with another body, one by one, this process took about three hours.

Then he covered these dead bodies with white sheets.

The Guroo of these infidels then took a cauldron made from stone and

put an iron wok (bowl) without handles on top of it. He then poured

water into the wok and started preparing “Amrit” (aab-e-hyat- elixir

of life). The infidel Guroo kept churning the water with his double-

edged sword and kept on reciting his kalma (Gurbani). This process

went on for 1.5 to 2 hours. During this time a lady came from Guroo’s

house and put something in that water. Now the Amrit was ready.

From the corpses he took the covering sheets off. First he sat on the

head side of Daya Ram and poured Amrit into his mouth, then poured

some into his head and then sprinkled some in his eyes, and then he

asked the dead body to say waheguru ji ka khalsa waheguru ji ki fateh.

As if on his Guroo’s command, Daya Ram got up and repeated in his bold

voice, Waheguroo ji ka khalsa, waheguroo ji ki fateh.

It appeared that in the entire congregation everybody was so stunned

that it seemed like no one was breathing. There was pin-drop silence.

All the present were mesmerised with their Guroo’s miracle. In the

same manner one after another the Guroo made the other four alive too.

Then he took all five of them into a tent. After a while Guroo Ji

along with the five came out. The five were now wearing new attire

(uniform, bana); those five risen from the dead were standing in a

line. Then their Guroo came in front of them and took bir rasan

(posture of the brave-kneeling on one knee) and asked for Amrit. At

this point, the five asked what are you offering to get this Amrit.

The Guroo said that “I will sacrifice my whole family for the sake of

the panth” then these five gave Amrit to Guroo Ji, and his name was

changed to “Gobind Singh” (from Gobind Rai). The word Singh was

attached with the other fives too, -Daya Singh, Dharam Singh, Himmat

Singh, Mohkam Singh and Sahib Singh.

(I was very remorseful and cried like a baby) After that, thousands

took Amrit. Even, I was attracted like a magnetic force and with

no regret fell on Guroo’s feet. I requested to the Guroo to give

me Amrit too. Guroo Ji already knew about my role as a spy and

traitor, put his hand on my back, gave me Amrit and changed my name to

Ajmer Singh. Just with this act, my sins of numerous lives got washed

away.

My true Guroo has the power to kill and revive the dead-

Ang 1142, Dhan Dhan Sahib Sri Guroo Granth Sahib Ji Maharaj

If we all knew and understood what a great gift Guroo Maharaj has

blessed us with then we wouldn’t question it. How many us can say that

we understand what amrit is? None of us can. Amrit is like the

admissions to university. You need to apply. Amrit brings us closer to

Guroo Maharaj. You can’t study at university without admission can

you? Sometimes we come just to this earth just to blessed with amrit.

A few months before I took amrit I was told a sakhi by a chardi kala

gursikh. I can’t remember the exact details but there was a married

couple who were amritdhari. They had a baby. As soon as the baby was

born, they took the baby to an amrit sanchaar. As soon as the baby

came out it died. Then they had another baby. They again took the baby

to an amrit sanchaar. As soon as the baby came out it died. They gave

birth to another child and the same happened. They finally realised

that the babies were dying because they had taken amrit. They had a

fourth child. They didn’t want their daughter to be blessed with amrit

because they knew that their child would die. When he came to about

the age of eight the child wanted to be blessed with amrit. They

parents told the child that she could never take amrit. The child

listened to her parents but her soul was just crying out to take

amrit. Then the daughter’s marriage was arranged and there was a local

amrit sanchaar. She wanted to be blessed with amrit before she got

married so she went to the amrit sanchaar without telling them because

she knew that they wouldn’t let her if they knew. A few hours after

being blessed with amrit, the daughter had an accident and died. This

sakhi tells us that sometimes the only reason we come to this world is

to take amrit. Obviously these children had good karam and had done a

lot of naam japna, vand ke chakna and kirat karna in their past lives

so all they needed was amrit to get mukhti because in their last lives

they had done enough naam japna, vand ke chakna and kirat karna. They

obviously did not get the opportunity to be blessed with amrit and

were given this life to do so.

Dhan Dhan Sahib Sri Guroo Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj says that ‘Pritham

Rehit Ehu Jaan, Khandey Kee Pahul Chakey’.

A lot of the time, we often refer to ourselves as ‘Gursikhs’. What is

a Gursikh? A Gursikh is someone who is on Guroo Maharaj’s path and one

who is willing to submit to Dhan Dhan Sahib Sri Guroo Gobind Singh Ji

Maharaj’s Hukam. Right now, this very second, Dhan Dhan Sahib Sri

Guroo Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj is calling you. He’s asking for your

head. How can you tell Dasam Pitha Ji to hold on for a while? To wait

until you are ready? Was this what any of the panj pyare did? Sadh

Sangat ji when Dasam Pitha Ji said time that he wanted a head, Pyara

Bhai Daya Singh Ji made himself tyar bar tyar.

We receive such calls everyday from Dasam Pitha Ji and Dhan Dhan Sahib

Sri Guroo Granth Sahib Ji Maharaj regularly tell us –‘tan man kat kat

sab arpi’. We always sing along when we listen to this but when we are

asked about amrit we say ‘I’m not ready’.

The day after the Khalsa, Akaal Purakh’s Fauj was created, there were

about 30.000 more Sikhs who were blessed with amrit. That’s just in

one day. Its been nearly 310 years and we still question Dasam Pitha

Ji.

A lot of people often say that they won’t be able to keep amrit but in

actual fact you won’t and can’t keep amrit. Amrit will keep you.

We all go to the gurdwara and bow down to Guroo Maharaj in the palki

showing outward respect. If amrit wasn’t important then why did Dhan

Dhan Sahib Sri Guroo Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj himself bow down in front

of the punj pyare and ask for amrit? Guroo Maharaj didn’t just preach

to us but they themself lead by example.

How can we truly call ourselves Sikhs if we don’t follow the hukam of

Dhan Dhan Sri Guroo Granth Sahib Ji Maharaj? For example keeping kes,

not eating meat, not taking intoxicants etc etc. Guroo Maharaj is

asking for your head right now, this very second. How can you refuse

the king of all kings?

What is amrit? It is the profit that us kookars receive from learning

to accept the hukam of Dhan Dhan Sahib Sri Guroo Granth Sahib Ji

Maharaj. None of us “take amrit”. That’s impossible. We are blessed

with amrit. None of us come into Sikhi or follow Guroo Maharaj’s path

because of our own intelligence or intellect but because of Gur

Prasaad (Guroo Maharaj’s sweet and wonderful grace).

I was browsing a forum recently and found the following post:

Amrit is the benefits one receives from learning and accepting the

teachings of the Guroo Granth Sahib. It's the grace of Guroo, the

taste of reality, and the awareness that there is no difference

between birth and death, as this is a human conception. Everything

does not exist at it appears in our eyes. Our thoughts are limited.

Birth, death, pain, and pleasure are part of the experiences of

reality. The mind interprets pain and pleasure, success and failure,

according to what it is already familiar with, but the taste of Amrit

is the completeness, rest, repose, peace, not going and not coming.

You are already there, or here, in the center of the universe. No

matter how far you travel, you are still in the center of infinity, in

the heart of God. Aad puran madh puren ant puren Parmeshureh. ang 705.

Humbling ones self in the Hukam of God, the natural laws of the

universe, to function properly with Guroo Gian, not just showing

outward respect of Guroo Ji on a palkee. Let's learn what Guroo Ji

teaches so that we can taste the Amrit Sabad Amrit Har Bani.

"Why did Guroo Gobind Singh Ji make his Sikh drink the amrit of a

Khanda. Why not a kirpan? Why not of anything else? In Sanskrit,

Khanda means DEATH (mauth). KHANDA. Guroo Gobind Singh Ji mixed this

with water and gave it to his Sikh to drink. The Sikh has mixed death

in water and swallowed it altogether (Sikh mauth noo ghol kay pee

gya). Anybody can come up to a Sikh and say, 'Hey, I will hurt you, I

will get you,'' and the Sikh will say, 'I've already drank death from

a bowl. What can you do to me?!'"- Bhai Balbir Singh Ji (Ragi), during

a keertan darbar on the Shaheedi Divas of Jathedar Akali Nihang Baba

Deep Singh Jee Amar Khalsa Shaheed, November, 1984 (Paraphrased &

Translated from Punjabi)from www.bcsikhyouth.com

Recently I was browsing a forum and read this sakhi about Bhai Bhela

Ji. I found it really inspriring.

Bhai Bela Ji was a Gursikh during the times of Dhan Dhan Sahib Sri

Guroo Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj. He came to Guroo Ji and asked if he

could stay at Anandpur Sahib. Guroo Ji consented so long as Bhai Bela

agreed to partake in Seva. He was asked what form of Seva he wished to

partake in, such as, langar seva, recite Bani or join the Guroo’s army

and fight in the battlefield. Bhai Bela replied that he could not

cook, read Gurbani or knew how to use shashtars. Thus Guroo Ji

assigned Bhai Bela Ji the duty of looking after the horses and their

stables. At the same time Bhai Bela Ji would be taught Gurbani by

Guroo Ji.

Guroo Ji started by teaching Bhai Bela Ji one line of the Jap Ji Sahib

per day. Bhai Bela Ji would spend his whole day, whilst fulfilling his

daily chores, repeating that same line. The following morning he would

recite it back to Guroo Ji to make sure that he had memorised it

correctly, and thus he could progress and go on to learn the next

line. One day, Bhai Bela Ji came to Guroo Ji ready for his next lesson.

However Guroo Ji was busy and was preparing to go out. Just as Guroo

Ji was about to leave, Bhai Bela Ji got in the way saying, “Guroo Ji,

I am ready for my next lesson. I want to learn the next line of JapJi

Sahib.” Dhan Dhan Sahib Sri Guroo Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj replied,

“Bhai Bela, na vakhat veecharai naa veyla” meaning, “Bhai Bela, you

are not considering the circumstances I am in; I am busy and must go

out.”Yet Bhai Bela Ji was so innocent and obedient, that he understood

Guroo Ji’s comment to be the next line of the JapJi Sahib and spent

his whole day practising the phrase. When the other Sevadaars heard

Bhai Bela Ji, they started laughing and began mocking him. But Bhai

Bela Ji ignored them and continued reciting the phrase, eager to learn

it well so that he could please Guroo Ji the next morning by reciting

it correctly. The following morning when Bhai Bela Ji went to meet

Guroo Ji, the rest of the Sevadaars had gathered there as well. They

wanted to see Guroo Ji get angry with Bhai Bela Ji for incorrectly

reciting the JapJi Sahib. However, when Bhai Bela Ji recited the line

“Bhai Bela, na vakhat veecharai naa veyla,” Guroo Ji instead got up

and embraced Bhai Bela Ji.Guroo Ji said, “this is what a true Sikh is.

He does not allow his own intelligence to get in the way of his

Guroo’s words. He believes his Guroo’s Bachan to be 100% true and does

not consider his own intellect to be above that of his Guroo’s.”Too

often we judge ourselves to be cleverer and more knowledgeable than

our Guroo. Bhai Bela Ji sacrificed himself entirely to the Guroo’s

words. He was so innocent, subservient and obedient that he placed his

faith entirely in the Guroo’s Bachan, forsaking his own mind and

intellect.May Guroo Ji bless us with such pyaar, sharda and faith to

forever live according to His Hukam, which is conveyed to us through

His Shabad.

Now we should ask ourselves one question? Why don’t we have faith like

Bhai Bela Ji? We moorakhs are forever questioning Guroo Maharaj. I was

recently listening to Bhai Sahib Sukha Singh Ji’s katha and he was

saying that we try to understand Vaheguroo too much but we never try

and get close to Vaheguroo. He used some really good examples. He said

‘why understand that swimming with dolphins in enjoyable, why not

experience it? Why understand that a galebi tastes nice? Why not pick

it up and eat it? Why understand something when you can experience

it?’.

I also heard a sakhi about Sant Baba Isher Singh Ji Nanaksar Wale.

Some people came to him. They told Baba Ji that you only need Sikhi on

the inside.

On another occasion some more people came to see Baba Ji and Baba Ji

told them that they should take Amrit.

They replied by saying that there is no need as their minds were

clean.

Baba Ji then said ‘Wasn’t Dhan Dhan Sahib Sri Guroo Gobind Singh Ji’s

mind clean??

They went silent…

Below is what Bhai Gurdaas Ji says about amrit

"Whosoever gets initiation of the Guroo and follows the Guroo’s

instructions is in fact a real Sikh"-(Bhai Gurdas // 3.11)

"The life may become successful and blessed, if you take Amrit of

double edged sword" -(Bhai Gurdas // 41)

I believe Guru Gobind Singh selected the panj piyrea. cos they were of different castes, it was to show unification and brotherhood.

The above account is a fairy tale, un realistic and impossible.

Then to say a Muslims account is accutually what happened counts even bigger shadow over the so-called events that took place.

You know what our people are ashamed of such stories and call them fairy tales. They have no problem in believing in the fairy tale called television or technology. The Christian Bible says a whale swallowed Noah and Ford capri would have no problem with this (it's now a game on nintendo). Evangelists will mock our stories and promote their own based on apocalypse and hell even judgement day.

Mahapurakh Sant Baba Gurbachan Singh Jee said this in his katha. How the Nakli Nirankaris are making Sikh's be-imaan and be-dharmi.

"The whole report can be found in the archives of Aligarh University".

This record has never been found in Aligarh University, to say that this 'missing record' which was 'allegedly' seen by only one modern day scholar is factual over established and agreed puratan Sikh ithihaas is highly ignorant.

It has nothing to do with ones sharda or doubting the shakti of Dasam Patshah - its simple common sense.

Most historians agree that each pyara was taken into a tent and Guru returned with a blood stained sword. Puratan Sikh ithihas says that in each tent a Goat was beheaded.

This version poses no issues for the Akali Nihang Sampryada.
