lol! im not worthy of being part of the panth but i have got some self respect.

others may not see it like that

oh well

Lol veereh the excuse has become old now... Sadly you are a part of the Panth, being a Singh, and you should keep that in mind while discussing such trivial matters...

There is a small difference between self respect and ahankaar/ego

off-topic... but one that that p***es me off is that anytime a Singh/Singhnee stands up for themselves in wha ever way.. some patronising, smug, internet super soorma warlord calls them "TALEBAN"

"TALEBAN SIKHS!!"

Let me tell u one thing, when the moguls came to india, they were alchohol drinking, unmoral pimps, with mutiple slave wives and no honour to speak of.

All this "talbanism" about protecting honour of family, IZZAT, Dhee/Phen di Izzat , readyness to die for principles..these moghuls had no idea about. They learnt this from the SIKHS. people like Hari Singh Naluwa taught these people what honour was.

Funny thing is, these people have taken it a stage too far and gone nuts.

But the inventors of the concepts have gone the opposite way, and ridicule the very principle.

yes, next time u hear of a sikh slitting his sisters throat for stepping outside the house - yes- call him a taleban Sikh.

otherwise STFU!

Honour is a big word.

Izzat used to carry a heavy meaning in the times of Hari Singh Nalwa.

As years went on people have forgotton the meaning of Izzat.

Back in those days the Mughals used to kidnap girls and take their izzat.

But it seems nowadays some Sikh girls are giving their izzat away for free to muslims.

The word Izzat has become very cheap in todays age.

Almost makes me ashamed of saying we are decendants of the same sikhs that fought to protect this very izzat.

Sikhs used to save 30,000 girls at a time.

But now it seems we are unable to save even 1 because they are giving their izzat away willingly. Very Sad.
