There is honestly no winning with you guys. Cut the guys some slack! Whether Bal Shal owns Sikh Channel or not is irrelevant. If we want the correct repersentation of our panth and if we wish to have a 'Sikh Channel' Then we need to make a difference! You guys are flipping over £4 a month. Come on people, I know it's the credit crunch and all, but it's only £1 pound a week. I used to see this place as an interesting way into getting into Sikhi, but that has certainly changed. For the past week, all I have seen is 'Sikh channel this, Sikh channel that' ,people pointing fingers and accusations at each other like little school children!! Come on people.

How will a Sikh Channel be accountable to individuals who only pay their TV Licence and do not have any access to Satelite or Cable TV? Surely it will be of niche interest in any event, and any impact it will have on British society or the Sikh diaspora will be minimal?

Sikhs these days can go buy liquor and alcohol (older generation) but cannot give a pound a week to a good cause,Sikh women can put 50 pound notes in front of a Sant Baba but cannot give that £50 to cover the 4 pounds a month for a year.Sikhs can own newsagents and chip shops and car garages and all sorts but cannot donate even a pound - THIS HAS GOT TO CHANGE

it appears some are trying to stiffle any constructive debate about this channel ,asking everyone to shut up ,ask no questions ,give no suggestions and just give some cash . that is definately not the way forward . it is grossly wrong to assume that any questions being raised reflect negativity or stinginess or paranoia . instead it shows people are interested ,asking intelligent questions ,want facts , feel concerned and involved ,and want this to be an interactive process involving feedback and constructive criticism.
