The connection is through Bhai Baghel Singh, who in the 1780's attacked Delhi and occupied the Lal Kila, flowing the Nishaan Sahib. There are seven Gurdware in Delhi at historic sites that Bhai Sahib Ji is credited with establishing through his actions. These are Gurdwara Mata Sundri, Gurdwara Bangla Sahib, Gurdwara Bala Sahib, Gurdwara Rakab Ganj,Gurdwara Sis Ganj, Gurdwara Moti Bagh and Gurdwara Majnu Ka Tilla.

Sardar Jassa Singh Ahluwalia sat on the badshahi throne in the lal quila after the Sikhs occupied Delhi. After accepting tribute from the Mughal emperor they left Delhi.

Only Sikh I know who captured Lal Quila/Delhi (multiple times) is Sardar Bhagel Singh. Please provide me some historical references for Sardar Jassa Singh Ahluwalia and Akali Phola Singh (I am not doubting that they captured Delhi, I will just like to have some references). Interestingly, Sardar Bhagel Singh left captured Delhi, so he can celebrate Diwali in Amritsar, this shows that Sikhs at that time did not think that capturing Delhi is a big thing.
