There are Great place in Sikhism and Punjabi, Jatt culture.

The place we go to meet God are not one of those Great place's any more..... We, the people call them Gurdwaras the home of God.

They the caretakers call them the The temples of money.

I have never heard of A single Gurdwaras, where there are no scandales over money going on, the people not fighting over money at the very place of God.

It is Sad to see these things. It is Sadder that the very same people who do these acts of evil are the ones we shine light on.

How can we Sikhs be a strong culture, religion with the very place we call the home of God is no better then a....................................

If thats the case a good Gursikh would ignoreall he hears and go to GurDWARA TO DO Sangat n Bagti if we go there n liston to gossip and do ninda ourselves we just as bad as the Bad comitte members n sevadars.

We r easy to judge if the Gurdwara we visited r so corrupted #( this may sound harsh) but mate get up n open a Gurdwara which is the opposite to wat u talk about. We r in the time of Kalyug this is expected lets not say did this she did that they do this LETS STAND UP AND LEAD BY EXAMPLE

Im not preaching im just as bad when it comes to dissing commitee member

sorry if i have offended

If we get rid of the masands and implement Gurmat then all the people who induce manmat in the Gurdwara could only cry a river over not having a strangle hold of Guru Sahibs golek. Im talking get rid of the tables and chairs and make all occupational people sit together on the floor humbly is one thing. Spending the gholek money on the quality of the Sangat and not the masands agendas is two. Doing the full Anadu Sahib and sttm is three. Actually singing RAAG Kirtan is four. Giving tankhiya to those caught in antiGurmat cases is five. Asking people continually that if they talk in the Darbar Sahib is a major major sin and to go outside or not come at all if they are to talk during Divan is six. Having Sunday Divaan last all day rather than a couple hours and have more Divan during the weekdays will help the entire community is seven. Teaching the youth that straying from Sikhi is a disgrace to the Shaheeds of the past is eight. Teaching Sangat Santhiya as katha will attract more people to understand Gurbani is nine. Bhangra is not shouldnt be associated as a "Sikh religious music" etc Drinking alcohol is like converting away from Sikh religion etc............on and on about simple changes that are needed to change the quality of Sarbat Khalsa and Sehajdhari Sangat.

For this we are resposible solely. If we do not offer

MONEY in GURDWARAS these holY places will become pious

fightfree places. Now the question arises where should

we donate our DASWANDH. Guru ji told us GARIB DA MOOH

GURU DI GOLAK. As such we should offer our DASWANDH

at PINGALWARAS, ORPHANGEHOUSES,donate CLOTHES and

medicines to needy persons who really are the needy

persons and by doing so we shall be not encouraging

THE MONEY HOUSES but shall be serving the humanity

and also obeying the devine order of our GURU SAHIB

as HUKAM MANIYE HOVE PARVAAN TA KHASME KA MEHAL

PAAESI.

Although, one the one hand I think it's somewhat pitiful when some of our gurdwaras are half-constructed or not to the level of surrounding buildings, on the other hand, as far as God is concerned, there's no need at all for fancy buildings or marble floors to worship God.

In fact some might argue that one is better able to focus on God in humble surroundings. I wonder if the Nanaksar tradition of no money donated is better. Yes, I realise Guru Arjan Dev Ji took monetary donations, but 1) Guru ji tested the Sikh donors, and 2) the receiver was divine. Gurdwara comittees today can't claim that.

A secondary benefit of this system is that it acts as an automatic veto or check on the committee's power. It's somewhat harder, and not quite as lucrative, to embezzle 100 kg of cement vs. 100 currency notes. And if nobody cares to buy a huge air-conditioner for the Gurdwara president's office, it won't be installed, whereas with money, he can do whatever he wants.
