Sounds like Dasam bani,

reminds me of a dasam bani shabad I heard some time ago:

key nirjur niroop hou, key sundar saroop hou, key bhoopan key bhoop ho, key data maha daan ho

pran key bachaia, doodh pooth key diveia, rog sog key miteia, ....

I may however be very wrong

so here is the full story, my friend's friend asked him about this.

here is the email i got from my friend.

"Ok so here is the full story. One of my best friends (sarat) is a desciple of Guru Paramahansa Yogananda. In one if his books Comic Chants Guru Paramahansaji credited one of the songs to Guru Nanak Devji so he wanted to know the orignal punjabi words of that song.

See Sarat's email below.

Dear Param, Sim,

Greetings! I have a research question for you.

Can you please find out if in the Guru Granth Sahib or in any other writings of Guru Nanak we can find the original Punjabi words to the following song?

O God Beautiful, O God Beautiful

At thy feet oh, I do bow

In the forest thou art green

In the mountain thou art high

In the river thou art restless

In the ocean thou art grave

O God Beauitufl, O God Beautiful

To the serviceful, thou art service

To the lover, thou art love

To the sorrowful, thou art sympathy

To the yogi, thou art bliss

O God Beautiful, O God Beautiful

Our Guruji, Paramahansa Yogananda, included this song in his book Cosmic Chants and credited Sri Guru Nanak for the original inspiration. We are trying to figure out if the words of this chant are actual translation from a song by Guru Nanak.

Your help is much appreciated.

with all love,

WaheGuru!

Br. Sarat

bye the way

Sarat is also a well know writer he wrote following book and working on this second book.

Thanks for all your help.

I came across the Shabad Kirtan of this:

And searched for it via Gurbani searches and found the shabad (in Gurmukhi, Romanised, Hindi and English) here: http://searchgurbani.com/dasam_granth/page/38/line/13

Nirajur Niroop Ho Ki Suandar Saroop Ho Ki Bhoopan Ke Bhoop Ho Ki Daataa Mahaa Daan Ho ॥

निरजुर निरूप हो कि सुंदर सरूप हो कि भूपन के भूप हो कि दाता महा दान हो ॥

O Lord! Thou art the Invisible Cataract, the Most Beautiful Entity, the King of Kings and the Donor of great charities.

Hi Sunny_ love_kirtan!

Even I am looking for the same thing. The original words of Guru Nanak which Paramahansaji has given in his Cosmic chants in Hindi are

Ae hari Sundar , tere charan par seer namo

vano vano mein Shyamal Shyamal

giri giri mein unnat unnat

sarita sarita chanchal chanchal

sagar sagar gambhir ae hari!

Ae hari sundar, Ae hari sundar

savak jan ke seva seva kar

premic jan ke prem prem kar

dukhi jano ke hari vedan vedan

yogi jano ke anand ae Hari!!

So, one thing is clear it’s not feom Daaam Granth.

It’s been many years since you posted this question...any luck?
