Recovering Lost Data

I accidently deleted my song folder and then emptied re-cycle bin. Is it possible to recover it withought damaging the hard disc. I had once tried to recover same way on my desk pc but recovered only a few files and after few days my hard drive gave out, although my pc was very old and i think it gave out on its own. should i try and recover on my new laptop? any good program?

i recovered many a files but all files recover sometimes and sometimes not and thats a limitation of every data recover software
