As many know Bhai Phaldeep Singh Ji has been doing an excellent job in coordinating Sanjhae Smagam in the UK.

Well done on others trying to do the same, however rather than asking for names of kirtani should the Jathedar/man sevaak of the Jathebandi not be approached to arrange such an event? To gain support should they not be the ones who coordinate their kirtani?

On another note though should are all kirtan programmes not Sanjha programmes? By stating only certain programmes are Sanjha were certain jathebandi are represented can create a divide and rule culture.

As recent events have shown, even where a Sanjhaa Keertan programme has been arranged and taken place in the past, it doesn't necessarily mean that the Ekta, in the true sense, is real. Even though Sangat may be sitting together, this may actually be a deception if there is no genuine respect and tolerance for other Jathebandis and GurSikhs, and the reality of the situation is that certain Jathebandis are actually doing nindiyaa, whether openly in "Panthic Conferences" or discretely, of other Jathebandis and GurSikhs. It's one thing proclaiming Ekta, it's another thing actually practising it.

Good initiative, though the key is a change in the mindsets so that there is genuine respect and tolerance. Programmes in the past have seen shows of strength and competition between the Jathebandis, which actually defeats the whole object of the exercise.

I completely agree with GuruManeyoGranth. The sewadars can only go as fas as to provide a place for Ekta to occur but they can't FORCE anyone to give genuine respect and tolerance for each other. However, maybe some of the issues that Jathebandis have with each other will be resolved if they see kirtani's of other Jatha's having the same utmost repect for guru sahib and bani while doing kirtan as they do, and perhaps it will gradually allow tolerance and respect to occur between the Jathabandis. We all agree that something needs to be done about the seperatation gaps that are in place between Jathabandis. We need to be known as THE KHALSA and not so much as Taksali, AKJ, Dodra, Nihung, and etc because these are just "members" of the family. THE KHALSA PANTH is the Family.
