Akhand Kirtani Jatha International strongly condemns the arrest of its Jathedar Bhai Sahib Bhai Bakhsheesh Singh Ji by Phagwara Police today.According to latest reports received in the Head Quarters of AKJ International at Sri Amritsar Sahib,Four Policemen in civil clothes raided the house of Jathedar at Phagwara today at 2 PM and took him away in a Private car to the office of DSP Phagwara.From there he was taken to City Police Station and detained there for nearly Two hours.

When the members of local Akhand Kirtani Jatha along with other people approached the Police Officers, no valid reason for his arrest was given.However he was released after two hours without assigning any reason.This action of Punjab Police is being widely condemned by the various Panthic Organisations in Punjab and the World all over.

I agree with laadli-fauj veerji, all this is just a show of force by punjab police, just to show 'whos the boss'. They deliberately pick on Jathedars and leaders for the same reason. Unfortunately, these mass-mind-control techniques do work with the average population, this is what the secret services are best at.
