gyani ji does katha everyday at 3AM (maharaj does kirpa so i watch this) and is repeated again at 8.30AM.

yes i have a few questions,

naam (for those who think waheguru is actual naam)

1. is naam waheguru (the one preached in sggs, seeing the gurus said basically "give me naam"), or if it isnt, how do you get naam?

2. who is the true gyani?

3. how in what way was the world created and in what way will it be destroyed?

4. what sustains the world (what makes it go round, there is a religious answer to that)?

5. if anyone can remember my question about does god have a name, how and why did people begin to call god as god, why parbraham, why so many if we cannot calculate how high god is?

thats it so far.

Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa!

Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!!

3. how in what way was the world created and in what way will it be destroyed?

4. what sustains the world (what makes it go round, there is a religious answer to that)?

5. if anyone can remember my question about does god have a name, how and why did people begin to call god as god, why parbraham, why so many if we cannot calculate how high god is?

3. sikhi does not say anything of the world's creation or it's end. there has soem research done that even hints that gurbani does claim some stuff about the evoultion theory. sikhi and science are in agreement on this topic where other religions that claim about the "7days" in creation arent ment to be taken literly and what not .

4. yes there is a religious answer to that. Guru Nanak Dev Ji said the world was round, things orbited earth while earth orbited the sun and the sun orbited around the galaxy. there are many earths out their and this isnt the only one. i know science and religion really can not agree ..... but yet again they do agree here. when sikhi was started peep were still sayin the sun and starts orbit the earth and the earth is flat.

5. God has many names. we all worship him differently but it is the same God. in Jap sahib alone there are thousands and thousands of names for God. second part of the q... if u open ur mouth and have ur vocal cord vibrate

the sound of "auuh" (same sound when the doctor tells u to open ur mouth wide as u can) comes out. it is the most basic sound a human can make, and due to all the different dilects spoken all over the world, thus the "auuh " sound was altered to have a begining and end part to it. if u steach out the names as in god, akaal, thats y many peep also dnt say waheguru but wahaaguroo.

that would answer the last part of the question too. God is not comprehendable by our human minds. we dnt have enough words to describe him . but we still try to use as many as we have.

can some one knowedgeable please answer this questions too because my explinations might not be right.

BHUL CHUUK MAAF

yes i think thats the best question, ask the naam one, some say its waheguru, but shabad says you need to have the 5 lusts dispelled then have naam, an example of this type of naam was that of my mothers mother (emotional attachment has settled in, so since 12, shes forgotten it recently, we will not discuss how she gained it, seeing some here say its manmat how she gained it, we will stay away from that). i dont want a debate to be launched, the ultimate answer will be from a "chardikala" gyani (well he knows alot more than other gyanis, thats for sure)

now the singhs reckon naam is waheguru, over to gyaani ji.

my next question....

how did each jug end, why did parmatma's teachings change from one to another?

in satjug everyone was plain and simple, no fancy homes like we do now.

in treta people were told by ram chander to do "jagh" festival which was solemly commemorated for a long period of time.

dupar jug message was "murti puja" told by krishna bhagwan.

kaljug, we are told by guru ji that we must do naam simran.

how will kaljug end then?

why and how did the jugs change? why did the message change?

    • The Mind is Jyot Saroop (Waheguru), but the mind is under the influence of five evils… Through Naam Simran( Rememberance), the mind will begin to detach from evil, and get back to its original form ( MANN TU JYOT SAROOP HEH)… Until the mind breaks free from the five evils, one will go through the cycle of paap and punn….which leads to Karma… Naam Simran destroys past karma, and prevents new karma coming into fruition… I did this, I did that… This non realisation of the Jyot Saroop gives rise to paap and Punn, which in turn gives birth to suffering and misery…
    • I agree we're not born with sin like the Christians think. Also I agree we have effects of karma. But Gurbani does state that the body contains both sin and charity (goodness): ਕਾਇਆ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਪਾਪੁ ਪੁੰਨੁ ਦੁਇ ਭਾਈ ॥ Within the body are the two brothers sin and virtue. p126 Actually, we do need to be saved. Gurbani calls this "udhaar" (uplift). Without Satguru, souls are liable to spiritual death: ਜਿਨਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਨ ਭੇਟਿਓ ਸੇ ਭਾਗਹੀਣ ਵਸਿ ਕਾਲ ॥ p40 Those who have not met Satguru Purakh are unfortunate and liable to death. So, yeah, we do need to be saved, and Guru ji does the saving. The reason Satguru is the one to save is because God has given Satguru the "key" (kunji): ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਹਥਿ ਕੁੰਜੀ ਹੋਰਤੁ ਦਰੁ ਖੁਲੈ ਨਾਹੀ ਗੁਰੁ ਪੂਰੈ ਭਾਗਿ ਮਿਲਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੭॥ In the True Guru's hand is the key. None else can open the door. By perfect good fortune the Guru is met. p124
    • That's unfortunate to hear. Could you give any more information? Who was this "baba"? He just disappeared with people's money? Obviously, you should donate your money to known institutions or poor people that you can verify the need of through friends and family in Punjab.
    • Sangat ji,  I know a family who went Sevewal to do seva sometimes end of 2019. They returned last year in great dismay and heart broken.  To repent for their mistakes they approached panj pyaare. The Panj gave them their punishment / order to how t make it up which, with Kirpa, they fulfilled.  They were listening to a fake Baba who, in the end, took all the "Donations " and fled sometime over a year ago. For nearly 4 years this family (who are great Gursikhs once u get to know them) wasted time and effort for this fake Baba. NOT ONLY this one fam. But many, many did worldwide and they took their fam to do seva, in village Sevewal, city Jaitho in Punjab. In the end many families lost money in thousands being behind this Baba. The family, on return, had to get in touch with all the participants and told them to stop.  I am stating this here to create awareness and we need to learn from whom we follow and believe. It's no easy but if we follow the 3 S (Sangat, Simran and Seva) we will be shown the light. As I am writing this the family in question have been doing the same since 2008 onwards and they fell for this Baba... it is unbelievable and shocking.  This am writing in a nutshell as am at work on my break so not lengthy but it deserves a great length.  Especially the family in question, who shed light on youngsters about Sikhi 20 plus years!!
