Gurbar Akaal Ji is correct. Some elaboration below.

Anyways, there are two types of "grooves" that can be found on a blade. One is an indented looking appearance the blade, best desribed as a shallow valley. This is a fuller whose purpose if to make a Shastar lighter while still retaining the strength and integrity of the blade.

The other almost a thin line, that looks like a knife slashed a piece of clay. That is a "blood groove", whose purpose is essentially the same as a fuller.
