Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki fateh

Khalsa ji..

I see too many Sikhs who are "outward sikhs". those who may have the appearance of the Khalsa, but no real love. Just empty gestures, gather at Sikh events as a social gathering and even when they do parchar its so fake. they have no concept of tackling any problems within the panth.

The reason we are suffering here and in our Holy Land of Panjab.. be it drugs, conversions, broken families, alcohol etc.... boils down to one thing

Our total disregard of Dhan Shri Guru Granth Sahib ji Maharaaj.

This summer countless weddings took place where Maharaaj was taken into filthy environments

we have "freelance" gianis, who would happily take Mahraaaj in a the boot of a car for £20

When was the last time YOU did any sort of Research in your AREA???

I know of one Ravidass Gurdwara which is pretty much derelict where 2 Saroops of Maharaaj have been in Sukhasan for over 4 months. No one does their Sewa.

(could have been any Gurdwara)

There are dozens of "registered Sikh charities" in every town and city. Small institutions where no one goes, they just blow government grants. Most these places can't afford a Giani yet they will have Saroops of Maharaaj.

How many Pakandi Deras have YOU checked out?? Half these people keep Mahraaaj for a laugh..

But we're content to just say stand by, wait for someone else to broadcast beadbi on the internet, then say tut tut and move on.

Too many fairy Sikhs parchaaraks filling our youth with wishy washy stories about how their lame life has got slightly better when they did "sangat" i.e. had cha and a samosa with a few sikhs.. now they have seen the light... wooooweeee

We need to get our act together.

We need to research our town and cities.

What you Need to do right now:

  • Check on internet for all Sikh institutions n your area- registered charities. Search words like "Sikh " "Sangat" "guru"
  • Next search all Nirankari, Namdhari, pakhandis etc. Much of these are listed here:
  • Now, Physically go and check them out.. How many Saroops do they have? who does their Sewa? how often?
  • Next phone as many Gurwaras as possible, say you need to book an akhand paat at your home which is an off-licence or a pub. Don't make it bate that you are testing them. Give them an address as a Pub or offy and see if they say yes or if they know a giani who would (freelance type)
  • Next ask as many people if they know someone who has Mahraaj at home. Then see if their family is upholding the correct Sewa.
I know one family who's granddad was a Giani, he died.. 2 saroops of mahraaj were left in a cupboard for 10 years in a house fulla p*ss-heads.

Please report back on this thread. Lets start a thread of some benefit.

We need volunteers from every town and city.

Please input

and what do you suggest we do if we find such practises going on?

brilliant post sarabhapanjab - i totally agree ...but there is no unity. The respect for GGS campaign collapsed when one singh got stabbed badly by other 'sikhs' who were wrongly upset at their attendance. when theres unity theres victory.....look at the bezti drama when we all gathered and protested outside the thaetre.

We have the capability of managing to pinpoint anti-Sikhs issues as they occur. What is seriously lacking in our Kaum (as it stands today) is any strategic/long term approach to tackle those issues or any high level panthic commitment to deal with those issues.

What has been started on this thread is valid, there's no denying that. It's perhaps become the norm to see all sorts of skeletons fall out of the Sikh closets.... But what's more shocking is that we can arm ourselves with all the info, collect evidence, produce the videos and then we find ourselves in limbo. We can take "perfect" evidence to our local self appointed committees, jathedars of puratan jathebhandis, show the entire Sikh sangat..even the jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib and that's when we find we hit a big glass wall. Because all of a sudden we find our "perfect" evidence highlighting concerning issues mysteriously disappears into a big black hole, where no one wants to look at it again or think about it again.

We find that our leaders or elders (and sadly majority of our own community) just aren't interested and we get fobbed off with terms like "sort your own jeevans out first" or "conquer your own vices first"...Yep, again there's no denying that our spiritual jeevans are paramount...spirtual kamai is so important....but let's stop using it as an excuse to do nothing, we need to stop using it as an "opt out" option.

Today we have media tools that were not in existence 26 years ago. We have the world wide web, radio, tv, mobile phones. The Sikh perspective of the recent Ludhiana kand was available though video recordings taken by the Singhs themselves, images of the 2500 soiled saroops of Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaj can be seen by all of us, many other images of anti-Sikh actions can be seen on YouTube. Our parchar is at it's peak, yet our reactions to the parchar is weak!

I personally have come to the conclusion that the sooner the common "panth-dardi" Sikh on the street stops passing responsibility of Sikhi to the pretty useless "leadership" and takes on responsiblity themselves, nothing changes...Until then all we can do is carry on living our life full of excuses!
