New Years Eve (Dec 31) At Gurdwara

I've started this topic to find out and get some ideas on how your Gurdwara celebrates new year's eve. Surely, there is no better way to start off the new year at the stroke of midnight than at the charan of Guruji. So what does your Gurdwara do for new years eve? What happens at midnight? Are particular shabads recited?

we normally go gurdwara around about 9pm, but if we're lucky, we go about 8ish.

sit in darbar sahib, til 10pm-ish, then do some sevaa after.

ill be honest, and not act like a Sant, mess about with my friends, talk to them etc.

then go back to darbar sahib, 45mins earlier, and wait for the new year to strike.

our gurdwara, just does Gurbanee Paath, im not sure which Baani.

and some kirtan after. then fireworks.

The Gurdwara near me does the Anand Sahib just as the New Year is about to strike - so at about 11.59pm, the Kirtani jatha are at the stage of Anand Sahib where it says "Jinee Naam Teaya, Gai Mechatak Kaal, Nanak Teh Mak Oojle Kiti Shuti Naal". Its awesome when the Kirtani Jatha gets it bang-on 12.00am. :cool:

I like the idea of reciting Anand Sahib and having the salok read just as the clock is about to strike midnight.

Any other ideas?
