he wasnt evil man, just a confused fat man

he surrendered along with tohra on June 5th 1984 from the guru nanak niwas rooms to the army

traitor therefore he is called when he proclaimed he was die if the army invaded

people, read up on longowal tohra and badal because behind sant ji, they were the major players in sikh politics during the attack

whilst sant ji fought like a lion, these surrendered or like badal styaed at home

longowal was shot by AISSF singhs whilkst doing ardas apparently in his home village

the rajiv longowal pact!!!! whata sellout

look it up on the net

basically it agrred with whatevere indira had said

it sold out the andpaur shaib resolution

the pact although a sell out has never been honoured by the brahmins rulers in delhi

and i apologise to the teletubbies

u guys are hilarious.

by the way Deep Singh, I am a bhanji, not a veerji. B)

Anyways. I have some more questions

1) Why did people call him a Sant? Did he start out as being good or something?

2) Is there any proof that he actually surrendered? Like was he WITH the jatha and then he said that he doesn't want to fight anymore? Or what? Are there any websites or anything to read about this

3) Whats AISSF

4) Do u have any info about the rajiv-longoval pact? Or whats the anandpur sahib resolution? 10th regiment veerji you know a LOT... wow..

5) DEEP SINGH whats SAD?

Sorry for all the questions, I'm just really curious. I was told that Tohra wasn't as bad as people made him sound. Badal is a different story obviously.. But someitmes people say all these bad things without real reason, but you guys are giving some pretty good reasons 4 why he may have been wrong..

P.S. I hate the telletubbies

P.P.S I think ive seen the picture youre talking about, I was wondering who the teddy bear guy was... But it's too big to upload

1. No one actually knows why he was called a Sant. He did not follow the teachings of the Guru in as much as whi

lst innocent people were being killed he happily surrendered rather than defend them (many suggest this shows he was in with the government all along). He also broke a solemn pledge to defend the Darbar Sahib so he tole lies.

2. Yes there is plenty of proof that he chickened out and came out with his hands held above his head. Just look at any of the many books published on Bluestar.

3. Already answered above.

4. Search in google it is wonderful for such research.

Yes I also heard that Tohra was not that bad as a person and he did not amass wealth contary to what people say. He did not have any petrol pumps etc or large land holding. He did however help other stooges amass such wealth by getting them petrol pump allotments. I suppose the stain of surrendering during Bluestar will forever hang upon him.

As for Badal, I think it is more worrying that his son is getting himself ready to take over the mantle. Then again not many people in the Akali Dal B respect his son so it could just wither away after Badal senior hands power over.

apparently in tullys book and kuldip brars book

tohra ran to the akal takht on night of june 5th asking sant ji to surrender, but sant ji turned him back calling him a coward

so good or bad u decide

he certainly wasnt a thief, just a power hungry communist

every single account of the attack, everyone (apart from tohras and longowals) says they both surrenedered like cowards with their hands up

PS by the was the aissf was not started by shaheed bhai amrik singh ji, he just took over it in the late 1970's and made it stronger, the aissf had been going on since partition i think

and even sant jarnail singh called longowal sant as well until he annoyed him!

Tohra was a good guy...more i think we shouldn't judge other without having proof..if someone has please share.

and ohmy.gif SORRY BHAINJI! forgive me...

Good in as much as he was not a wealth hoarder. But then he did nothing of note as SGPC chief and visited the Nirankhari Bhavan in Patiala so he was not very good in these aspects. no.gif

waheguru.

Hunji about aissf, Shaheed Bhai Amrik Singh Ji became the president on july 3rd 1978, unless my memory has failed me.. I was told that prior to Amrik Singh leading the all india sikh students fed, most of the leaders had been corrupt. He was the first non corrupt leader that had good intentions.

    • Umm, that's totally irrational, bro. There are plenty of prakash-dara Singhs in Punjab (less than we'd like, but still plenty). No one cares that you are sabat soorat. It isn't 1986. You can walk around in chola, kurta-pajama, or jeans. Whatever. If you want the look @dallysingh101 is referring to, just go into a cheap clothing shop (not a Western-style mall) and buy some shirts for 250 rupees or a track suit for 2000 rupees. You'll get the cheap stuff made in some sweatshop in Bombay.
    • The Mind is Jyot Saroop (Waheguru), but the mind is under the influence of five evils… Through Naam Simran( Rememberance), the mind will begin to detach from evil, and get back to its original form ( MANN TU JYOT SAROOP HEH)… Until the mind breaks free from the five evils, one will go through the cycle of paap and punn….which leads to Karma… Naam Simran destroys past karma, and prevents new karma coming into fruition… I did this, I did that… This non realisation of the Jyot Saroop gives rise to paap and Punn, which in turn gives birth to suffering and misery…
    • I agree we're not born with sin like the Christians think. Also I agree we have effects of karma. But Gurbani does state that the body contains both sin and charity (goodness): ਕਾਇਆ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਪਾਪੁ ਪੁੰਨੁ ਦੁਇ ਭਾਈ ॥ Within the body are the two brothers sin and virtue. p126 Actually, we do need to be saved. Gurbani calls this "udhaar" (uplift). Without Satguru, souls are liable to spiritual death: ਜਿਨਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਨ ਭੇਟਿਓ ਸੇ ਭਾਗਹੀਣ ਵਸਿ ਕਾਲ ॥ p40 Those who have not met Satguru Purakh are unfortunate and liable to death. So, yeah, we do need to be saved, and Guru ji does the saving. The reason Satguru is the one to save is because God has given Satguru the "key" (kunji): ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਹਥਿ ਕੁੰਜੀ ਹੋਰਤੁ ਦਰੁ ਖੁਲੈ ਨਾਹੀ ਗੁਰੁ ਪੂਰੈ ਭਾਗਿ ਮਿਲਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੭॥ In the True Guru's hand is the key. None else can open the door. By perfect good fortune the Guru is met. p124
    • That's unfortunate to hear. Could you give any more information? Who was this "baba"? He just disappeared with people's money? Obviously, you should donate your money to known institutions or poor people that you can verify the need of through friends and family in Punjab.
    • Sangat ji,  I know a family who went Sevewal to do seva sometimes end of 2019. They returned last year in great dismay and heart broken.  To repent for their mistakes they approached panj pyaare. The Panj gave them their punishment / order to how t make it up which, with Kirpa, they fulfilled.  They were listening to a fake Baba who, in the end, took all the "Donations " and fled sometime over a year ago. For nearly 4 years this family (who are great Gursikhs once u get to know them) wasted time and effort for this fake Baba. NOT ONLY this one fam. But many, many did worldwide and they took their fam to do seva, in village Sevewal, city Jaitho in Punjab. In the end many families lost money in thousands being behind this Baba. The family, on return, had to get in touch with all the participants and told them to stop.  I am stating this here to create awareness and we need to learn from whom we follow and believe. It's no easy but if we follow the 3 S (Sangat, Simran and Seva) we will be shown the light. As I am writing this the family in question have been doing the same since 2008 onwards and they fell for this Baba... it is unbelievable and shocking.  This am writing in a nutshell as am at work on my break so not lengthy but it deserves a great length.  Especially the family in question, who shed light on youngsters about Sikhi 20 plus years!!
