The same when i see a turbaned sikh not waking up at amrit vehla to read bani. Both are doing it wrong and will not get anything in the end just like the two farmers one who is putting on seeds just on the surface of his fields and other putting them to deep. Both farmers will be empty hand in the end.

Rehat + Bani = Sikh who will get mukti in the end

Only Rehat = Good Person Good enough to go to swarg but not to get mukt of janamaran

In a day and age where most people hardly seem to have any time for God/religion/spirituality, I think what the guy is doing is great.

It must help him burn off some karams at the very least.

Personally I think Sikhi is going to spread in this way, with people following bani without roop to start with. I think people need to be encouraged and supported to read Gurbani, not put off with judgementalism, which apnay seem prone to get into at any given opportunity.

Reading Gurbani and making effort to understand it is a beautiful thing. Seeing as most 17 year olds (3rd generation) I meet can hardly speak Panjabi fluently let alone read Gurbani, the guy is doing a good thing. Hopefully it will bring him closer to Waheguru.

We have to stop discouraging people who want to get closer to the faith.

This person will get some Naam Rass from Amrit vela and Gurbani , but will not get kalyan {liberation} without rehat. The gathered Naam will only be temporary.

In order for a panchi {bird} to escape from a cage it needs two wings to take flight. Bani and rehat are the two wings for the Gursikh to take flight out of the cage {kalyan/liberation}. Bani in it self is one wing and Guru Ji's rehat is the other wing. With only one wing we'll just flap around in never ending circles.

The way some of you go on, it makes me wonder if you actually want this thing to grow and spread? People need to be brought in successively, in stages.

If one person is further down the route than another, for God's sake don't use it to castigate the other person. There are probably those further down the path than you who could do the same if they chose.

Interesting, but to me bani are both wings, it is everything. To keep contact with those wings i think rehet is there to ensure you keep those wings.
