Hello,

Baba Mann Singh has mentioned about an historical event regarding Guru Nanak Dev ji, which is not evident in any historical scriptures or any witness statements from that time period.

I have heard this story many times and its famously told by Babay of the modern era.

The Sikh religion has a good number of followers in the west, to encourage the westerners (Whites and Blacks) to join the Sikh ranks, stories are told in this manner. So they may feel a belonging within the group.

Everyone has an opinion and we could make the assumption that the Baba was giving his own opinion of events that could have occurred 300 years ago. If we review history and the stories during post migration to the West by Sikhs, there is no mention of Guru Nanak Dev ji, talking a foot into the West. We do have eye witness accounts and stories from Middle east, South and North regions of India.

Any historical evidence of this occurrence in the West are only stories that are told by Babay in the modern age, there is no historical evidence of such event.

There is historical evidence that Guru Nanak Dev Ji travelled as far as Turkey. Turkey is known as the gateway to Europe and only a stones throw away from Italy. If Guru Ji visited the centre of islam (Mecca/medina) and visited hindu centres of Hardwar and Banaras and travelled into Nepal where the buddhists still remember Him, then there is no reason why Guru Ji shouldn't have visited the centre of Christianity. I have heard rumours that in the vaults of the Vatican there are records that two holy men visited from the east............

I haven't heard rumors of that, but i always thought that the Vatican had information on Sikhi. I know the Vatican has tried to send their good sentiments to Sikhs, especially during Guru Nanak Dev Ji's birthday.

I would love to look at their historical archives.

My friend you are assuming, there is no fact about this occurrence took place. Regarding the Vatican, it's a myth and like you have mentioned, rumors. If Guru Nanak did visit the center of Christianity(Vatican), did he also visit the center place of the Jews (Israel)?

Going on just facts alone, which are gathered from historical artifacts, we can make a strong assumption that Guru Nanak did go to the places you have mentioned regarding Islam, Hinduism and Buddhist .
