The Notorious Black Cats

Recommended Posts

TWO EXAMPLES OF THE BLACK CATS THE PUNJAB POLICE EMPLOYED...THE SAD FACT IS MOST ARE STILL WALKING FRE IN PUNJAB...

Santokh Kala

In order to suppress the Sikh freedom movement in Punjab the Indian government had granted unlimited powers to its nefarious police forces. Using these powers SSP Izhaar Alam established his rogue groups, widely known as Black Cats, which he named "Alam Sena". Later on he changed the name to "Panthic Tiger Force".

It is not known how many goons were enlisted in the despicable groups but the name Santokh Kala was mentioned the most in the newspapers. Before the year of 1984 he used to be a thug and mostly stayed in the company of robbers. During the time of Sant Jarnail Singh Ji he started to go to Darbar Sahib and established his relations with many Sikhs. After Operation Blue Star he spent some time with freedom fighters of 'Bhindrawala Tiger Force'. When he was arrested the police checked his background and came to know that he was a characterless person. S.S.P Alam bribed him and convinced him to join his group, Alam Sena.

Kala had known many of the freedom fighters very well. For this reason Alam gave him some weapons, a car with black windows and appointed him the leader of one of the groups of 25. He was stationed near the areas of Darbar Sahib. Kala and his goons would keep an eye on all four entrance doors of Darbar Sahib and whenever any Sikh fighter was spotted he was captured and taken to Maal Mandi police station of Amritsar which was known as a slaughter house. If anyone resisted he was shot dead and his body was presented to Alam as a gift.

Due to unlimited powers given to Kala and his goons, they feared no one in the police. They became so indulged in their powers that they started making plans of forcibly taking over Gurdwara Baba Deep Singh Ji and Darbar Sahib. He killed most of the Granthis of Gurdwara Baba Deep Singh one by one. Bhai Nirvair Singh was shot dead inside the Gurdwara Sahib. This case was widely publicized by the newspapers. After Kala succeeded in taking over one Gurdwara Sahib he preceded towards Darbar Sahib. This was few months before Operation Black Thunder. Since Sikh freedom fighters had control over Darbar Sahib, Kala was unable to do anything. With the help of the police he started to get on top of the buildings near Darbar Sahib and challenge Sikh fighters on loud speakers. He made insulting comments about Sikhs and cursed at them. In return, Sikh fighters fired a few shots and injured D.I.G Virk. This gave the government an excuse to attack Darbar Sahib once again which was called Operation Black Thunder.

The operation enraged the Sikh masses and Kala was forced to leave all the Gurdwaras he had taken over by force. After a while, Kala started appearing in the news and gave many interviews to Washington Times and Sunday News. Later on, Washington Times published his interview part of which is as follows:

One secret group of criminals is stationed in Amritsar area to kill those who demand an independent state. According to the members of this group they are fully supported by the police. Some of the members equipped with weapons have been seen walking in the police stations and talking to some of the high government officials. The leader of this group is known as Santokh Kala. Kala revealed to us that he has helped the police in capturing many of the famous Khalistanis. In his own words he told us "We are a group of about 25. We wonder around in the streets in our government issued cars and wherever we see a Khalistani we kill him on the spot. We are ordered to capture them alive otherwise kill them. I have so far killed about 50 Sikh fighters." He also showed us a card which he called a permit. On the permit it was written "This permit belongs to Santokh Kala. He is working for 25th Battalion of C.R.P. in Amritsar." On the permit the stamp of 25th Battalion was visible in purple color. (Washington Times, 5 April 1988)

Sunday News also published an article on Kala.

Kala told us, "Whenever we break the law we inform the police officers so they don't file any case against us. According to him one police officer told Kala and his goons, "We are in the middle of a war. Sometimes you will have to make decisions that are not moral or according to the law but without such decisions terrorism cannot be eliminated." Kala also told us that the Indian government and the Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi were fully aware of the situation and activities of Black Cats. (Sunday News, 1988)

These groups had the freedom to loot the public and rape women. Enjoying these rights Kala robbed many banks. After the government officials found out the truth they told Kala to stop robbing banks but he was free to loot the Sikh masses in the villages. When Alam was transferred to Jalandhar he moved all of his criminal groups with him. After being promoted to D.I.G he moved back to Amritsar but he was unable to get any help from Kala. On the day Alam moved to Amritsar, Bhai Baljinder Singh and companions of Bhai Sukhdev Singh and Bhai Harjinder Singh (Sukha-Jindha) shot Kala dead in his own house. His wife was also killed in the firing. Kala's children were raised by the police. It is not known who was appointed the next leader of Kala's group. Although one chapter of India's criminal activities had ended but oppression against the Sikhs continued to grow.

Gurmeet Pinki

When the Sikh freedom movement was at its peak, Gurmeet Pinki was hired by S.S.P. Sumedh Saini in Ludhiana. Gurmeet Pinki was a great success to the government in infiltrating the Sikh movement and killing many of the Sikh freedom fighters.

The Indian government had established many Cat groups to malign and destroy the Sikh movement. Gurmeet Pinki was a member of one of such groups who was free to commit any crime. Pinki was a resident of Ludhiana. Prior to becoming a Cat he was involved in many robberies. After robbing a bank in Talwara he hid in his aunt's, Ranjit Kaur, house who was a Bio-Chemist clerk at Punjab Agriculture University. To avoid the arrest and punishment of the robbery, Gurmeet decided to work as a Cat and an informant of the police. He was provided with weapons, bodyguards and a vehicle.

He was stationed in Ludhiana University. His main objective was to kill as many students as possible who sympathized with the Sikh movement. The number of students he had kidnapped, tortured and killed is more than several hundreds. Gurmeet and his group would sit in their vehicle and keep an eye on every student passing by. Upon spotting anyone who sympathized with the Sikh movement, they would grab him, throw him in their vehicle and take him to the near police station where they would torture the student and then later kill him. The dead bodies were either thrown in the rivers or cremated as unidentified bodies. Gurmeet also targeted many female students of the University. He insulted, and dishonored many of the students. Most of the women he dishonored are said to have committed suicide upon not getting justice from the government. Many of the students disappeared from the University. He had so much authority that no one in the University could speak against him. If anyone tried to protest against him, he was picked up by the Cat group never to be seen again.

This is just a brief summary of Gurmeet Pinki. Once in a while his misdeeds are still published in the newspapers. Just a couple of years ago, he along with his group members blocked a road and started drinking alcohol. A person named Bhai Avtar Singh was traveling in his car on the same road. When he realized that there was not enough room for him to pass by he asked Gurmeet to move to the side, Gurmeet took out his pistol and shot Bhai Avtar Singh dead. Then he continued to drink alcohol. The newspaper strongly protested against Gurmeet and started asking for justice from the Indian government. It is pitiful that the newspapers who are speaking against one murder are silent about hundreds of murders committed by Gurmeet against the Sikh freedom fighters. It was the same newspapers who not only supported Pinki but published many articles in favor of killing the Sikh fighters. Although Gurmeet was arrested in charge of murder but he was released after a few days. When Bhai Jagtar Singh Hawara and his companion Paramjeet Singh Bheora managed to escape from Burail Jail by digging a tunnel, Gurmeet Pinki appeared in the newspapers stating that he was directly responsible for their arrests and their escape possessed a great danger to his life.

Although what Gurmeet Pinki and other Cats have done to the Sikh community is not forgivable but behind their criminal activities is the Indian government. It was the Indian government that started Black Cats and hired many criminals to infiltrate the Sikh movement. The government is directly responsible for looting thousands of poor Sikh villagers and dishonoring thousands of Sikh women. Many Cats have been killed at the hands of true Sikh fighters and many like Gurmeet Pinki are still alive but as long as the Indian government's rule exists in Punjab the Cats will always be there and the people of Punjab will always be under their terror and victims of their criminal activities.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ludhiana, Punjab - The 'protection' enjoyed by Inspector Gurmeet Singh alias 'Pinky' by the Punjab Police can be gauged from the fact that despite his having been found guilty of murder, he has not been suspended from the force let alone been arrested. With this kind of patronage at hand, Golas's family fear that before October 9 when the court is due to assemble to announce Pinky's punishment, the accused may flee from the country.

This terrorist-turned-cat-turned-cop has a notorious past. Enjoying proximity with a large section of terrorists in Punjab, Pinky, it has been learned, traded information with the Punjab Police then in the nineties he became a 'cat'. It is said that, so true was the information passed on by Pinky, that he soon became an important tool for the police to fight terrorism.

He became a core member of DGP S S Virk's team which was comprised of officers like Sumedh Saini and Shiv Kumar to name a few. Pinky's information led to some successful encounters and the arrest of some terrorists which earned him a permanent place in the police. In the mid nineties Pinky was inducted in the police as a Havaldar from where he rose to the present post of Inspector and was before this verdict serving as Incharge CIA staff, Fatehgarh Sahib. The police of this district is waiting for the court's orders to reach them before taking any action against Pinky.

Even as Pinky has been convicted, his five accomplices - Ravinder Pal Bittu, Pawan Kumar, Parveen Kumar, Paramjeet Pammi and Jaswant Singh Punnu dairy wala - walked scot free.

Victim's family wants to see Pinky hanged

The family of Avtar Singh alias Gola who on January 7, 2001 was gunned down by Inspector Gurmeet Singh alias Pinky and his gunmen says nothing brings happiness to them now.

''The Yamunanagar Sessions Court's verdict of announcing Pinky guilty of this crime has brought us some sense of relief. We are at peace now after almost six years of struggle against the most powerful machinery of this state. But a complete sense of peace will come when Pinky's punishment is announced,'' says 49-year-old Amrik Singh, Gola's father. Amrik Singh thanks his lawyers Navkiran SIngh, R Bains and Amar Singh Chahal who did not charge any money for his defense.

Telling how his son was killed, Amrik Singh says, ''My son had gone to buy some flowers for the Ram Sharan Mandir and on his way back he found this road blocked by Pinky's gunmen. Gola was accompanied by five other boys. All they had asked from the gunmen, who were drunk, was to leave some space on the road so that they could pass. But the gunmen started beating them mercilessly. I got the news and immediately went to the spot with some of my neighbours and before we could intervene they shot my only son right in front of my eyes. Gola was shot with a .38 bore gun which was an official weapon while I was shot with a .30 bore gun. The gunmen also fired indiscriminately with an AK 47.'' After that incident people from all walks of life extended their support to the aggrieved family.

''Since that day we have been fighting a huge battle. My neighbours who were eyewitnesses to the incident turned hostile. Pinky would come to our place and threaten us with dire consequences. He even went to all our relatives and threatened them too. No one comes to meet us. Pinky's family even lured us with an offer of Rs 2 crore, a house and arrangement for the marriages of our daughters. But what would we do with all that when everything ended with the death of my son,'' says Amrik.

Avtar Singh's mother Charanjeet says, ''I do not remember the last time I was happy. We had fixed our son's marriage alliance. He had bought this car. Now everything is here but he is gone.''

Gola's sister Simran says, ''We are not scared of anything now. If Pinky appeals to a higher court we will follow him there. We want nothing less than a death sentence for him.'

instead of learning from our mistakes for our failures ppl start posting concpiracys, this post sounds no different then the air india bomb concpiracy, ive researched alot about the 80's and 90's in punjab, i have read the indian side and the khalistani side and ive read from media sources who have no connection to khalistan and indian govt and read what they have to say, from thsi article posted sounds like from a very pro khalistani source

and before critizising me i am a khalistan supporter hence why i believe sikhs need to start training again in military tactics

khalistangunman this is an interesting topic, we should discuss this cause i wanted to start a thread on conscpiracys and why do sikhs sound alot like muslim extremists when it comes to conspiracy's

like air india bombing when ppl say it was an inside job by india it sounds no different then a muslim extremist saying 9/11 was an inside job by israeli jews

may i ask you when you research the 80's and 90's do you look at all three sources when researching, india side khalistani side and from a source that doensnt pick a side but tries to do proper investigative journalism by trying to report from the center, the saying is theirs three sides to a story person 1 side then person 2 side then the truth, i believe you have to look at a event from three sides to come to the truth, its like sports when you lose or make mistakes you watch videos and try getting as many opinions as you can so you can make the correct decision next time and learn from it

You do have to wonder - from a purely spiritual viewpoint - how these Black Cats were able to succeed in their mission? Surely we were on the side of truth and justice so why were we not blessed with victory even in the face of insurmountable odds? How were these corrupt, criminal cops and terrorists, etc., able to overcome us?

i agree with u about the air india thing it sounds a little to far fetched but how can u think that the punjab police police would not try to infaltrate a movement with mass popular support and try to scare people from it

they hired informants but if they asked these informants to kill inocent ppl then they have intelligence to black mail the punjab police with that they paid to kill, but no one has ever confessed to being a black cat that killed inocent ppl in name of khalistan while working for punjab police

problem with conciracy's is in human nature most ppl can't keep secrets, the bigger the secret harder it is to keep secret, and if these criminals killed inocent then either the ppl who were ordered to hire these black cats or the black cats can easily blackmail punjab police and sell their info, why would't they, thats why i laugh at how stupid concpiracy's sound like us did 9/11

Some things for the guys discussing Air India Bombings. Heard of false flag operations? Wikipedia says:

"False flag (aka Black Flag) operations are covert operations designed to deceive the public in such a way that the operations appear as though they are being carried out by other entities."

Further comes a term called pseudo-operation. Wikipedia says:

Pseudo-operations are those in which forces of one power disguise themselves as enemy forces. For example, a state power may disguise teams of operatives as insurgents and, with the aid of defectors, infiltrate insurgent areas.

Read "Soft Target - How the Indian Intelligence service penetrated Canada", not a bad book.

already have the books online as well if anyone wants to read it

air india was carried out by cowardly terrorists

what indian intelligence did was get informants close to the terrorists who carried the air india bombing out, thats why the indian government got their ppl off their flights and why the indian government let the canadian government know that their are terrorist who are going to blow up air india, those informants paid by india told the diplomats and those diplomats told the canadian government

the indian government doesn't even deny it now that they paid off few guys close to the terrorists

intelligence is a trillion dollar buisness govt offer big bucks and i don't think the indian government would tell the canadian government oh an air india plane is going to get blown up if they were doing it

cause someone wrote a book doesn't make it true, if you believe anything you read then your easily brain washed
