Has Christianity Failed The Youths Of West?

Increasing numbers of the youths in the west are becoming athiests or turning to other faiths to seek solutions to their everyday problems. I was reading a article today in a newspaper where a mother of a black youth said she is a devout christian yet her son was involved in the rioting looting and even raped a girl during the disturbances. It is a all too common theme that these youths are being sucked into street gangs and a life of crime, it seems christianity has failed to stop these youths getting sucked in. Yet if you look at other communities especially our own the Sikh we are able to control our youths with very little resources to hand. Most are looking to get educated at universities, to work hard and make a good life for themselves.

So has christianity failed the black and white under priviliaged youth of today?
