question regarding book

Dear friends,

I have a question regarding a book I see in this picture, it is one volume book, is this sri guru granth sahib? I have picture but I cannot post it, I don't know why I tried., and women is reading from this book and playing instrument, however book is thick so it looks like granth sahib, I am concerned because it is not kept with proper respect.

You are probably talking about Amrit Kirtan pothis which are used mostly while doing kirtan. but yes.. even these pothis need to be handelled with uttermost respect.

the amrit kirtan is by the far the most direspected form of gurbani out there

people treat it worse than gutkas when there is more bani there than in a gutka

it is really poorly treated

it's true

amrit keertans need to be respected....the sangat that i attend has in the last few years started getting stands for the amrit kirtans so people don't put the gurbani in their laps or touch the pages unneccessarily with their hands... i think it's helped a lot.......
