can a singhni b older then her singh??? my parents have fixed a rishta with a singh that is 2 years younger then me but i read somewhere than the singh must be older??

Lol Of course you can be older - I don't think there is a fixed rule about age difference between a couple in sikhi...

Taksal Rehat says the Singh should be 3 to 4 years older ideally. This is said because generally Singhnis mature faster than Singhs. So it comes down to if your getting married in a year or two. Is the Singh mature enough to get married. It all depends on how strong his rehat is, along with yours. Both weak, then match made in heaven, both strong then match made in heaven, Singhni's weak Singhs strong...bad news for Singh and his family...many problems in the soon to be family, Singh's weak and Singhni's strong....bad news for the poor Singhni, who has to live in such a household.

Age is really not a big deal especially just a couple of years. Our souls are immortal, bodies just vessels.

I think 3 to 4 years plus or minus is fine either way as long as both of you are at about the same level maturity wise. There are a few couples in my family where the singhnee is elder than the singh, and they all are doing pretty good.
