The Masand system was created by Guru Arjan Dev Ji. Guru Gobind Singh Ji destroyed it when it was no longer effective. My point is that the Sikh Panth is a living, evolving body. When something becomes useless or irrelevant or inefficient, it should be destroyed.

Note: i am talking only about systems, etc. that were NOT established by Guruji or that arent Rehat.

Just because Akalis became Shaheed for the establishment of SGPC doesn't mean it should stand for all time. It has become an obstacle to the panth, and should be removed. At the time when it was created, it was nessecary for the advancement of the Sikh Dharam, but now it is useless

Destroying the SGPC is not the answer. The concept of the SGPC is a great one. The problem is the election system of the SGPC which needs to be replaced. Religious institutions should not be run by democracy since most of the public is usually non religious and the leaders elected will just reflect the public that elected them to office. Furthermore, the strangle hold of the political party SAD should not be on the SGPC. But their stranglehold over the SGPC is also because of the election process of the SGPC.
