And the above is not a joke. Just being in the sangat of Sikhs (yes, even the Cybersangat) where Sikh ideals are spoken of can change the outlook of a person on a religion that they usually knew very little about. The sense of community is very important and a great resource to turn to when questions arise and when any trouble is encountered.

That's completely true, more and more sikhs think that all u have to do is show up to gurdwara a couple of times a week, and u'll be fine. I've met tons of people that don't know anything of sikhi, and they just show up at gurdwara to talk to their friends, not caring about what ur really supposed to be going there for.

I really agree with all of you that Sangat can be very helpful. please help me learn and understand Sikhi so that some day i can be Guruji's daughter too.
