Fateh sangato!

well.. UK seems to either having a bad day... or very poorly represented.. clearly not enough funding for their athletes...

Canada's powerhouse team had one of its participants, Japman Singh, challenge Amardeep Singh in a best of 5 series. Japman was definitely the favourite, as his ranking was a sparkling 1325 compared to Amardeep's 1196.

However Amardeep would strike first. In shocking fashion, potting the black 8 ball while Japman still had 2 balls left, he won the first game. Thoroguhly frustrated, Japman was quoted as saying "lkahsdflsadhbflaskhblahdbaslfasDLFa;s;as" after the first match.

Seeking revenge, Canada jumped back into the match in strong fashion. With his opening cue, Japman pocketed two sripes right off the bat, and proceeded to knock in another 3 stripes before Amardeep even had a chance to strike. Amardeep sunk 3 of his solids into the pockets, but Japman then went on to finish the match, beating Amardeep by 3 balls.

Japman continued his play into the 3rd game, but winning bu a much narrower margin, by only one ball. the series was now 2-1, with Japman breaking for the match in the 4th game.

Disaster struck the Canadian team as Japman started off with a brilliant two ball break, pocketing two stripes yet again! However, he failed to pocket a stripe for his first real shot, opening the door for Amardeep to pocket a stripe. Japman's failure to realize his mistake led him to pocket two more stripes in one ball, as he was distracted by MSN and didn't realize that he had to hit solids. In the end, Amardeep had one ball left and Japman had a full 7 on the board. Then came one of the greatest come

backs seen.

Japman fought back extremely hard, gave Amardeep no good shots to shoot at, and it came down to Japman sinking 7 straight balls. Then, he missed his opportunity at the 8-ball, leaving Amardeep Singh open for his final ball, and the 8. The series was tied 2-2.

Going into the final game, tensions were high, and every strategy in teh book was being used. Canada had to win, or face some serious discrimination and hate back on the SS board from their fans. But, Japman's powerful 1300+ ranking would not fail. By a margin of 4 balls, Canada won game 5, and is looking to face Egypt in an upcoming match. Egypt is also coming off a win against UK's Amardeep Singh.
