Imran khan is sort of partily right. What he should have said is Afghan muslims are justified to do jihad against foreign occupation, because taliban is a ex-ISI general hameed gul creation. It's a pakistani spy agency creation and not indigenous to Afghanistan so taliban have no right to be in Afghanistan it is for the Afghanis to fight off their perceived foreign invaders. So this statement makes imran khan looks like an islamic terrorism supporter which he probably is at worst or an apologist for it at best.

The Taliban in control in Afghanistan will mainly be a danger to Pakistan. It will embolden their even madder cousins the Pakistani Taliban to commit more attacks on the government as well as on the Shias. All sorts of mad mullahs will emerge each more insane than the last. It will make for interesting watching.

True. The eventual Taliban take over of Afghanistan will effect most of all it's neighbor Pakistan. Most Pakistanis feel very supportive of Taliban taking over Afghanistan. But how will this spill over effect Pakistan's society which is increasingly becoming radicalised. Maybe this might embolden the most radical Maulvis to demand a stricter Islamic state mirroring Afghanistan. More Lal Masjid type episodes might happen if demands are not met. I wonder how liberals like Imran Khan will still feel friendly towards Taliban in such a situation.

Besides Pakistan, in India too will feel effects on the Kashmir issue. The separatists there will get a boost from Pathans wanting to fight against their traditional infidel enemies in India in the form of the Indian army which they see as occupying Muslim land of Kashmir. Kashmir might very well become a Chechnya like situation where it will become a destination for Jihadis from all over the world wanting to come and fight. What ever the case, Indo Pak sub continent will feel the after effects of the Taliban takeover of Afghanistan, that is for sure.
