lol

Yusuf Islam is a peaceful man, if you're going to beleive a blatantly anti islamic website for information about him with evidence based upon what some columnist has written then you are being naive.

If you want to know anything about CAIR from a balanced point of view whats the point of going to an anti-cair website? If you want to research the truth yourself then look at both sites dont just go onto very anti sites like this and beleive every word they say. This is very narrow minded. Before you make any judgement you should look at both sides to a story but no doubt you have only looked at this anti site right and decided you now beleive everything they say.

A site that is anti anything will dig out any dirt it can, even if it has no basis so you should always be wary of these sites, whatever the subject.

Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa!

Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!!

Nice to know I have you a laugh!!

The anti-Cair site is run by just one guy who views CAIR as a threat to his country. He is getting sued by CAIR but according to most experts CAIR has made a mistake by suing him because it now means that his attorney can look into all the private records of CAIR and show them up to be what the anti-CAIR site alleges. Did you actually look past the title of the website or was the fact that it has 'anti' in it was enough reason for you to avoid it. Did you read where the CAIR leaders opening admit to supporting Hamas? How about the fact that four or more of their leaders are in jail for openly supporting terrorists? some advocacy group eh? Check this website, it's not anti anyone but it is run by the well known columnist and middle east expert Daniel Pipes, See what he makes of CAIR

I did look at the website and some of the articles. I am in no way saying CAIR is an innocent party and I disagree with some of what its members and the people who run it have said.. but we still should always look at both sides of the story that is my main point. If soem things on that website are found to be true then I am not going to try and prove otherwise... likewise if it is proven that articles on that site are wrong I shall not refute it.

Kulpreet Singh!

On the evil scale, USA is still pretty high up there.

NO THEY'RE NOT!!!

You have to look at the USA, relative to other nations.

The USA, by in large has been a force for good in the world, especially recently. I don't care what anyone else says, and all my friends disagree with me, but George W. Bush seems like an honest, straightforward, religious, moral and good man.

C'mon, 50 million people, 2 full nations that lived under the most cruel circumstances just a few years ago, and now they're on the road to democracy? Afghan elections in just 2 days? 40% of registered voters as women? Dozens of girls schools opening up across the country? Or is this all bad? Because Bush is obsessed with oil? Some people (like my good friend Khalsapreet) make me laugh... or cry, I don't know.

Totally agree with you Bhaji. I think that hating the US and disagreeing with it's policies is the trendy thing to do at the moment. Just a question for those who think that the US is bad can you imagine what the world would be like if the US didn't exist?

No wonder Muslims hate the US so much it is one of the main countries that stand the way of their dream of world domination

    • was researching this and came back to this thread. Also found an older thread:
    • Net pay after taxes. If you don't agree, think about this: If you were a trader and started off in China with silk that cost 100 rupees and came to India, and you had to pay total 800 rupees taxes at every small kingdom along the way, and then sold your goods for 1000 rupees, you'd have 100 rupees left, right? If your daswandh is on the gross, that's 100 rupees, meaning you have nothing left. Obviously, you owe only 10% of 100, not 10% of 1000. No, it's 10% before bills and other expenses. These expenses are not your expenses to earn money. They are consumption. If you are a business owner, you take out all expenses, including rent, shop electricity, cost of goods sold, advertising, and government taxes. Whatever is left is your profit and you owe 10% of that.  If you are an employee, you are also entitled to deduct the cost of earning money. That would be government taxes. Everything else is consumption.
    • No, bro, it's simply not true that no one talks about Simran. Where did you hear that? Swingdon? The entire Sikh world talks about doing Simran, whether it's Maskeen ji, Giani Pinderpal Singh, Giani Kulwant Singh Jawaddi, or Sants. So what are you talking about? Agreed. Agreed. Well, if every bani were exactly the same, then why would Guru ji even write anything after writing Japji Sahib? We should all enjoy all the banis. No, Gurbani tells you to do Simran, but it's not just "the manual". Gurbani itself also has cleansing powers. I'm not saying not to do Simran. Do it. But Gurbani is not merely "the manual". Reading and singing Gurbani is spiritually helpful: ਪ੍ਰਭ ਬਾਣੀ ਸਬਦੁ ਸੁਭਾਖਿਆ ॥  ਗਾਵਹੁ ਸੁਣਹੁ ਪੜਹੁ ਨਿਤ ਭਾਈ ਗੁਰ ਪੂਰੈ ਤੂ ਰਾਖਿਆ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ The Lord's Bani and the words are the best utterances. Ever sing hear and recite them, O brother and the Perfect Guru shall save thee. Pause. p611 Here Guru ji shows the importance of both Bani and Naam: ਆਇਓ ਸੁਨਨ ਪੜਨ ਕਉ ਬਾਣੀ ॥ ਨਾਮੁ ਵਿਸਾਰਿ ਲਗਹਿ ਅਨ ਲਾਲਚਿ ਬਿਰਥਾ ਜਨਮੁ ਪਰਾਣੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ The mortal has come to hear and utter Bani. Forgetting the Name thou attached thyself to other desires. Vain is thy life, O mortal. Pause. p1219 Are there any house manuals that say to read and sing the house manual?
    • All of these are suppositions, bro. Linguists know that, generally, all the social classes of a physical area speak the same language, though some classes may use more advanced vocabulary. I'm talking about the syntax. That is, unless the King is an invader, which Porus was not. When you say Punjabi wasn't very evolved, what do you mean? The syntax must have been roughly the same. As for vocabulary, do you really think Punjabis at the time did nothing more than grunt to express their thoughts? That they had no shades of meaning? Such as hot/cold, red/yellow/blue, angry/sweet/loving/sad, etc? Why must we always have an inferiority complex?
    • I still think about that incident now and then, just haven't heard any developments regarding what happened, just like so many other things that have happened in Panjab!
